Jamshid Barzegar
Jamshid Barzegar ( ), born 20 August 1971 in Hamedan, Iran, is an Iranian poet and writer. He began his job as journalist in 1991, and issued his first book in 1994 and was the editor of the newspaper Hambastegi "Solidarity". It was the last news activity he did in Iran. He published four books on poetry, and published dozens of novels in the field of literary criticism and hundreds of articles in the field of literature and political analysis. He also authored seven documentaries that touched on the life and works of contemporary poets and writers in Iran. He is also the brother of the famous Iranian director and producer, Majid Barzegar. Since January 2018, Barzegar had been head of the Deutsche Welle Persian Service. Hamadan
Hamadan () or Hamedan ( fa, همدان, ''Hamedān'') ( Old Persian: Haŋgmetana, Ecbatana) is the capital city of Hamadan Province of Iran. At the 2019 census, its population was 783,300 in 230,775 families. The majority of people living in Hamadan identify as ethnic Persians. Hamedan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities. Mohammad Shams Langeroodi ( fa, محمد شمس لنگرودی) (born November 17, 1950) is one of the most celebrated contemporary Iranian poet, actor, singer, author and university lecturer. He has researched extensively on different periods of Persian poetry, most famous of which has resulted in the book named '' An Analytic History of Persian Modern Poetry'' in four volumes. He is currently in the process of publishing his second novel. Life and early works Shams Langeroodi was born in Langerood, Gilan, Iran as Mohammad Taghi Javaheri Gilani. Later his father changed their last name to Shams. He published his first poetry book in 1976, but it wasn't until the 1980s that he established himself as one of the major poets of that decade when his poetry gained attention due to its novel imagery and surreal elements. Javad Mojabi
Javad Mojabi ( fa, جواد مجابی , born 14 October 1939 in Qazvin, Iran) is an Iranian poet, writer, researcher, and literary and art critic. Mojabi is one of Iran's most prominent modern writers and poets, and has published over 50 literary works in various forms. He has also written hundreds of critical works and essays on art and culture in journals and magazines. He began writing poetry in the 1960s, along with short story writing and research on modern painting in Iran. A well-known satirist, the poet is close to Nima in style but mostly inclined to Shamlou in blank verse. Mostly focusing on social themes, Mojabi is a poet of philosophy and thought, which he sweetens with a blend of satire. Esmail Khoi ( fa, اسماعیل خویی; 30 June 1938 – 25 May 2021) was an Iranian poet and writer. He was living in the United Kingdom after being exiled from Iran during the 1980s. Mohammad-Ali Sepanlou
Mohammad-Ali Sepanlou (محمدعلی سپانلو) (November 20, 1940 – May 11, 2015) was an Iranian poet, author, and literary critic. Born in Tehran, Iran. He has been a founder member, a member of the executive board, and editor of the journal of the Writers’ Association of Iran, in which capacity has opposed both the former regime of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and the Islamic Republic of Iran, speaking out against censorship. Sepanlou received his diploma from Dar ul-Funun high school. He graduated from University of Tehran Faculty of Law in 1963. Throughout his literary career, Sepanlou published over 60 books.
