Jamie Stevenson (Scottish Footballer)
James Stevenson (born 13 July 1984, Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a full back or midfielder. After spending a year in Spain with the reserve team of Real Mallorca as a teenager, he spent all of his career in the lower divisions of Scottish football, playing for various clubs including Alloa Athletic (three spells), Greenock Morton, East Stirlingshire, Airdrie United, Cowdenbeath, Peterhead, and Kelty Hearts. Career Early years and Mallorca Stevenson began his career with Scottish Premier League club Aberdeen. He was released because they believed he was too small to make the grade in professional football. From there he dropped down the leagues and joined Alloa Athletic while training to become a mechanic. Midfielder
A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Ryan Harding
Ryan Harding (born 27 April 1984 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish semi-professional footballer who plays for Civil Service Strollers as a defender. Over the course of his career he played for Livingston, Greenock Morton and East Stirlingshire before leaving for Malta. On his return he played for Alloa and Peterhead, before joining Civil Service Strollers in 2013. Playing career Harding began his senior career with Scottish Premier League club Hibernian. From there he moved into another SPL side, Livingston. Ryan made just three league appearances and one other appearance in the C.I.S. Insurance Cup for Livingston. Greenock Telegraph
The Greenock Telegraph is a local daily newspaper serving Inverclyde (the council area containing the towns of Gourock, Greenock and Port Glasgow), Scotland. Founded in 1857, it was the first halfpenny daily newspaper in Britain. It was for a time Greenock Telegraph and Clyde Shipping Gazette, owing to the massive amount of maritime traffic moving in and out of Greenock's harbours. This information is still published, but only as a column entry. Originally based in Charles Street, Greenock, the printing works were bombed during the Greenock Blitz in May 1941. Davie Irons
David John Irons (born 18 July 1961 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former football player and coach. Irons' playing career spanned 26 years as a central defender or midfielder for a host of clubs, most notably for Ayr United, Clydebank, Dunfermline Athletic and Partick Thistle. Irons has previously been manager of Annan Athletic, Gretna, Greenock Morton, Stenhousemuir and Gretna 2008, and assistant-manager at Carlisle United. Jim McInally
James Edward McInally (born 19 February 1964) is a Scottish football manager and former player. He played for Dundee United for 10 seasons in which he won the 1993–94 Scottish Cup and played in the 1987 UEFA Cup Final. At United he was also a three time Scottish Cup runner-up. McInally also played for Celtic, Nottingham Forest (1985 Player of the Year), Coventry City, Raith Rovers, Dundee, Sligo Rovers and East Fife. The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division.
