James Parsons (born 12 April 1997) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who currently plays for Box Hill Hawks team in the VFL. He previously played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career He was drafted by Geelong with their second selection and twenty-seventh overall in the 2016 rookie draft. He made his debut in the twenty-nine point win against at Etihad Stadium in round three of the 2017 season. Post AFL Parsons was delisted at the end of the 2020 season. James Parsons (physician)
James Parsons FRS (March 17054 April 1770) was an English physician, antiquary and author. Born in Barnstaple, he was brought up in Ireland before going to Paris to study medicine. He received his degree from Rheims and in 1736 moved to London to study with the anatomist James Douglas. In 1741 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society, and was Assistant Foreign Corresponding Secretary of the Society from about 1750. Life He was born in March 1705 at Barnstaple, Devon. He was educated in Dublin, his father having moved to Ireland on receiving the appointment of barrack-master at Bolton. He acted for a time as tutor to Lord Kingston, but later went to Paris, where he studied medicine for several years. He took the degree of doctor of medicine at Rheims on 11 June 1736. A month later he came to London with letters of introduction from Paris to Hans Sloane, Richard Mead, and Dr. James Douglas. James William Parsons (born 27 November 1986) is a New Zealand retired Rugby union player who played as a hooker for the in Super Rugby and North Harbour in the ITM Cup. James Parsons (born 1724) was an American politician and attorney who served as the last vice president of South Carolina from June 27, 1777 to January 9, 1779. He was born in Ireland and migrated to the British colony of South Carolina in 1750. Personal life James Parsons studied law Ireland before migrating to the British colony of South Carolina in 1750. In the Province of South Carolina, he worked as a lawyer and soon acquired wealth and prestige. Between 1752 and 1754 and again from 1760 to 1775 he sat in the colonial House of Representatives. The James Parsons Building is the single largest building belonging to Liverpool John Moores University in Liverpool, England. It is located at LJMU's Byrom Street City Campus and built in 1960 as part of Liverpool Polytechnic. Later additions were made in 1966 and 1970, although extensive modernisation is taking place internally and externally as of 2010. James Benton Parsons (August 13, 1911 – June 19, 1993) was a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He was the first African American to serve as a judge in a U.S. district court. Early life, education and career Born on August 13, 1911, in Kansas City, Missouri, his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where his father was an evangelist and missionary with the Disciples of Christ Church. The family subsequently lived in Lexington, Kentucky, Dayton, Ohio and Bloomington, Indiana, before settling in Decatur, Illinois. Parsons wanted to be an attorney by the time he was in junior high school. He was named "class orator" for Stephen Decatur High School class of 1929, the "first race student" to receive this honor.
