James Madison Dukes Men's Basketball
The James Madison Dukes men's basketball team is the college basketball, intercollegiate men's basketball program representing James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The school, a member of NCAA Division I, Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, joined the Sun Belt Conference on July 1, 2022 after having been a member of the Colonial Athletic Association since that league's establishment in 1979. The Dukes are led by head coach Mark Byington. The Dukes play their home games at the on-campus Atlantic Union Bank Center which seats 8,500 fans and opened in November 2020. The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is a collegiate athletic conference that has been affiliated with the NCAA's Division I since 1976. Originally a non-football conference, the Sun Belt began sponsoring football in 2001. Its football teams participate in the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). The 2012–13 Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team represented Indiana University in the 2012–13 college basketball season. Their head coach was Tom Crean, in his fifth season with the Hoosiers. The team played its home games at Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Indiana, and was a member of the Big Ten Conference. Indiana spent ten weeks ranked as the #1 team in the country. The Hoosiers won the outright Big Ten regular season title with a 14–4 record. Indiana went 7–1 against AP Top-25 teams during the season; no other Big Ten team had better than a .500 record in that category. The 2012–13 Long Island Blackbirds men's basketball team represented The Brooklyn Campus of Long Island University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Matt Brady (born October 1, 1965) is an American college basketball coach who is currently an assistant coach for the Maryland men's basketball team. He is a former head coach at James Madison and Marist. Career Early career After playing basketball for Siena, Brady worked as assistant at Rhode Island, Wagner, and Saint Joseph's. Marist Brady was hired as head coach by Marist in 2004 and coached the Foxes for four years, finishing with a 73–50 record. He took the Red Foxes to a MAAC regular-season championship in 2007. Marist then advanced to the NIT, where it defeated Oklahoma State in the first round. The NIT victory was the first ever postseason victory for Marist. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team represents the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in NCAA Division I basketball. The team plays its home games in McCamish Pavilion on the school's Atlanta campus and is currently coached by Josh Pastner. Dean Keener (born September 18, 1965) is the former head coach for the men's basketball team at James Madison University. The Indiana State Sycamores basketball is the NCAA Division I men's basketball program of Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana. They currently compete in the Missouri Valley Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2011. The Sycamores' first season was 1896, making them the oldest basketball team in the NCAA along with Bucknell, Minnesota, Washington and Yale; however, the records from 1896 to 1899 no longer exist.
