James Husband (music Project)
James Husband is the recording project of James Huggins III, Of Montreal's multi-instrumentalist. Biography James Husband is the recording alias for multi-instrumentalist/songwriter James Huggins III. In the group 'of Montreal', Husband recorded and toured as a core member from 1998 to 2010. He left the band after nearly 13 years in June 2010, yet is the only live band member to appear on every release up through 2012's "Daughter of Cloud" and the three previous releases since his departure (after recording on 5 albums between the band's debut "Cherry Peel" & 2005's "Sunlandic Twins" LP). He toured and recorded for well over a decade including performances at the Hollywood Bowl, Roseland Ballroom, The Palladium, and many cities in countries around the globe. James performed on national television in 'of Montreal' on both the " Late Show with David Letterman" & "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" as well as an acting role in the Nickelodeon show Yo Gabba Gabba. Amiens
Amiens (English: or ; ; pcd, Anmien, or ) is a city and commune in northern France, located north of Paris and south-west of Lille. It is the capital of the Somme department in the region of Hauts-de-France. In 2021, the population of Amiens was 135,429. History The label began as a compilation album, ''Happy Happy Birthday To Me Volume 1'', before it expanded into a 7" singles club, which released records by Of Montreal, Marshmallow Coast, The Essex Green, Great Lakes, and Masters of the Hemisphere, while also releasing several tape and CD compilations. The singles club was noted for its individuality, with each individual record by an artist often being different. For example, each copy of The Essex Green's single came with a different original photograph on the sleeve, while Marshmallow Coast's were hand-drawn by school children. ''The Sunlandic Twins'' is the seventh album by indie pop band of Montreal. The album continues further into the more electronic territory first explored on 2004's ''Satanic Panic in the Attic''. It was recorded almost entirely by Kevin Barnes, the band's singer and songwriter, in Athens, GA and Oslo, Norway throughout 2004. Background Initial pressings of the album contained a bonus EP featuring four new tracks. One of them, "Keep Sending Me Black Fireworks," features Kevin's wife Nina on vocals, while "Art Snob Solutions" features the same instrumental track as the earlier "Will You Let Me into Your Dream". The double vinyl edition of the album included an additional bonus track, "Family Nouveau". The title of "So Begins Our Alabee" refers to the couple's daughter, Alabee Barnes, who is also the partial subject of "Family Nouveau", along with Nina. ''Homestar Runner'' is an American Flash animated comedy web series and website created by Mike and Matt Chapman, known collectively as The Brothers Chaps. The series centers on the adventures of a large and diverse cast of characters, headed by the lovable yet dense athlete Homestar Runner. It uses a blend of surreal humour, self-parody, and references to popular culture, in particular video games, classic television, and popular music.
