James Harvey (merchant)
Sir James Harvey (died 1583) was an English merchant who was Lord Mayor of London in 1581. Harvey was the son of William Harvey of Cotwalton (''aliter'' Cott Walton / Walton-in-Stone), near Stone, Staffordshire. He purchased Wangey House, Dagenham from Clement Sysley of Eastbury House in 1571, and the manor of Winterbourne Monkton, Wiltshire in 1577. He was an ironmonger in the city of London and a member of the Worshipful Company of Ironmongers. In 1572, 1576, 1580, and 1582, he was Master of the Ironmongers Company. In 1571, he was elected an alderman of the City of London. He was High Sheriff of London in 1573. In 1581 he was elected Lord Mayor of London. Sir James Harvey married Agnes Gent, the daughter of Count Sebastian Gent of Antwerp. Harvey was the managing proprietor of the Country Milk Company and served as treasurer of the Royal Agricultural Society for a number of years. James Harvey (born 15 February 1979) is an Australian former professional basketball player who played 15 seasons in the National Basketball League (NBL). Basketball career Born and raised in Perth, Harvey began playing for the Cockburn Cougars of the State Basketball League (SBL) in 1996 and won the league's Rookie of the Year award the following year. After another successful year in the SBL with the Perry Lakes Hawks in 1998, Harvey signed with the Perth Wildcats for the 1998–99 NBL season and continued playing for the Wildcats until 2004. He was part of Perth's 1999–2000 NBL championship and 2002–03 grand final appearance, and won the league's Most Improved Player award in 2001. Harvey also continued to play in the SBL with Perry Lakes in 1999, and with the Willetton Tigers in 2000, leading the league in scoring that year with 518 total points. Jamie Harvey
Jamie Harvey (born 15 August 1955) is a Scottish former professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) and British Darts Organisation (BDO) tournaments. He used the nickname Bravedart for his matches – a play on the lead character from the film ''Braveheart''. As darts began to introduce entrance tunes for its players during the 1990s, Harvey used to come to stage whilst the tune "The Bonnie Banks o' Loch Lomond" was played. James Harvey (born 2 May 1958) is a Northern Irish football manager and former player. Playing career As a player, Harvey began his career at Glenavon in his hometown of Lurgan, before joining Arsenal in 1977. He made only three Football League appearances and one UEFA Cup appearance in three years, with his debut coming against Derby County on 9 May 1978. Harvey moved to Hereford United in 1980, where he made 278 league appearances. He had a brief spell at Bristol City and then on loan to Wrexham, before moving to Tranmere Rovers in 1987; there he played 239 matches, scoring 19 goals, and became club captain. At Tranmere, he was the playmaker for a team who gained two promotions and won the Football League Trophy final in 1990. James Michael Harvey (born October 20, 1949) is an American prelate of the Catholic Church. Trained as a diplomat, he served from 1982 to 1998 in the central administration of the Holy See's Secretariat of State. From 1998 to 2012 Harvey managed the pope's household, first for Pope John Paul II and then for Pope Benedict XVI. He was named a bishop in 1998, an archbishop in 2003, and a cardinal in 2012. James Harvey (1929 – July 15, 1965) was an American commercial and fine artist who was best known as the designer of the Brillo Pad box made famous by pop artist Andy Warhol in 1964 at his " Stable Gallery Show".
