Blakewill & Harris (Marc Blakewill and James Harris) are a UK-based comedy writing partnership working in television and radio. They have written on the popular CBBC sketch shows ''Horrible Histories'' and ''Sorry, I've Got No Head'', as well as ITV1 topical animation shows ''Headcases'' and ''2DTV'', ''Comedy Cuts'' (ITV2), ''The Charlotte Church Show'' and ''The 11 O'Clock Show'' (both Channel 4) and ''The Sitcom Trials'' (ITV1) - and have written caustic put-downs for Anne Robinson on ''The Weakest Link'' (BBC). White Van Man (TV Series)
''White Van Man'' is a British sitcom that was created and was written by Adrian Poynton and first broadcast on BBC Three and BBC HD in 2011. It began screening in March 2011, becoming the highest-rated launch ever for a sitcom on BBC Three. Will Mellor plays Ollie, a man who has to put his business dreams on hold while he takes over the family handyman business from his father, Tony, played by Clive Mantle. The series was filmed in and around Greater Manchester, including the Best Bet betting shop in Cheadle and Hollins DIY Store in Marple. A second series ran from 23 February to 29 March 2012. ''Parsons and Naylor's Pull-Out Sections'' was a BBC Radio 2 satirical comedy show starring Andy Parsons and Henry Naylor. It also stars Richie Webb, and one female "special guest". Female guests included Lucy Porter, Jo Caulfield, Julia Morris, Sarah Kendall, Kitty Flanagan, Nina Conti, Geraldine McNulty and Nina Wadia. ''The News Huddlines'' was a BBC Radio 2 topical comedy sketch show starring Roy Hudd that ran for fifty one series from 1975 until 2001. Each episode lasted for half an hour and consisted of topical sketches, songs and one-liners. Performers The regular cast consisted of comedy performers Roy Hudd, June Whitfield, and Chris Emmett. The announcer was Richard Clegg, and the music was directed and performed by Peter Moss and The Huddliners, taking over from The Nic Rowley Quintet. Hudd and Emmett were with the show since its inception and Whitfield joined the show in 1984, taking over from Alison Steadman, who in turn had replaced original cast member Janet Brown. For the recording on 29 October 1975 Roy Hudd was stuck abroad and could not make the recording so Ray Alan was asked at very short notice to present the show.
