James Dana (November 8, 1811 – June 4, 1890) was a Massachusetts politician who was the fifth mayor of Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA. Charlestown is the oldest Neighborhoods in Boston, neighborhood in Boston, Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Originally called Mishawum by the Massachusett tribe, it is located on a peninsula north of the Charles River, across from downtown Boston, and also adjoins the Mystic River and Boston Harbor waterways.
