James Banks III
James Alton Banks III (born January 16, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Texas Legends of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Texas Longhorns. In 2020-21 he led the Israel Basketball Premier League in blocked shots per game. High school career Banks grew up playing football until eighth grade. He did not play competitive basketball until his freshman year of high school. He initially attended Columbia High School in DeKalb County, Georgia and St. Francis High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He averaged 23 points and 14 rebounds per game as a junior at Mount Vernon Presbyterian School in Atlanta. After being ruled ineligible by the Georgia High School Association for using an incorrect address, he transferred to La Lumiere School in La Porte, Indiana for his senior year. James Edward Banks (born July 16, 1979) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for since 2017. A Republican, he previously served as a member of the Indiana Senate from 2010 to 2016. Early life and career Banks was born in Columbia City, Indiana. He worked in the real estate and construction industry in Fort Wayne, Indiana, before serving in elected office. Banks serves in the United States Navy Reserve as a Supply Corps officer. From 2014 to 2015, he took a leave of absence from the Indiana State Senate to serve in Afghanistan. From 2008 to 2010, Banks served on the Whitley County Council from the at-large district. He won the primary after defeating incumbent County Councilman Scott Darley. He was succeeded by Paula Reimers on the County Council. Jimmy Banks
Jimmy Banks (September 2, 1964 – April 26, 2019) was an American soccer defender. After a standout career at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, Banks spent six seasons playing indoor soccer with the Milwaukee Wave. He also earned 35 caps with the national team between 1986 and 1991, including two games at the 1990 FIFA World Cup. After retiring from playing professionally, Banks entered the coaching ranks with both youth clubs and the Milwaukee School of Engineering men's team. Banks died of stomach cancer on April 26, 2019. James Charles Bancks (10 May 1889 – 1 July 1952) was an Australian cartoonist best known for his comic strip ''Ginger Meggs''. Biography James Charles Bancks was born in Enmore, New South Wales, Australia on 10 May 1889, the son of an Irish railway worker, John Spencer Bancks. Bancks left school at the age of 14 and found employment with a finance company. His first illustrations were accepted and published by ''The Comic Australian'' in 1913, followed by ''The Arrow'' in 1914. This encouraged Bancks to submit work to '' The Bulletin'', where he was offered a permanent position, which he accepted and remained until 1922. Throughout this period he was studying art under Dattilo Rubbo and Julian Ashton and supplying freelance cartoons to the ''Sunday Sun''.
