Jalgaon (Jamod) Assembly Constituency
Jalgaon (Jamod) Assembly constituency is a constituency of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha. It located in the Buldhana district. It is a part of the Buldhana Lok Sabha constituency. The Malkapur Assembly constituency in Buldhana district is a part of Raver from the neighbouring Jalgaon district. As of 2008, the constituency includes Sangrampur tehsil, Jalgaon(Jamod) tehsil and part of Shegaon tehsil, consisting of Shegaon and Manasgaon revenue circles and Shegaon Municipal Council. The remaining part of Shegaon tehsil is in Khamgaon Assembly constituency. The constituency was established in 1951 as the then Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) constituency located in the Buldhana district. However it was dissolved for the 1957 elections to Mumbai state. It was re-established for the 2009 state elections in Maharashtra. Maharashtra Legislative Assembly
The Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha or the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is the lower house of the legislature of the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is situated in the Nariman Point area of South Mumbai in the capital Mumbai. Presently, 288 members of the Legislative Assembly are directly elected from the single-seat constituencies. The members of the upper house, the Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (the legislative council) are indirectly elected through an electoral college. Sessions The budget session and the monsoon session are convened in Mumbai whereas the winter session is convened in the auxiliary capital Nagpur. Khamgaon Assembly Constituency
Khamgaon (Legislative Assembly constituency) is one of the 288 constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha and one of the seven which are located in the Buldhana district. It is a part of the Buldhana (Lok Sabha constituency) along with five other Vidhan Sabha(assembly) constituencies, viz. Buldhana, Chikhali, Sindkhed Raja, Mehkar and Jalgaon(Jamod). The seventh Malkapur Assembly constituency from the Buldhana district is a part of the Raver (Lok Sabha constituency) from neighbouring Jalgaon district. As of 2008, the extent of the constituency comprised the entire Khamgaon taluka and part of the Shegaon taluka with the Jalamb, Pahurjira and Matargaon revenue circles. Jalgaon (Jamod)
Jalgaon Jamod is a town in Buldhana district of Indian state of Maharashtra. History The name Jalgaon is a combination of two Marathi words, Jal and Gaon, that mean village of water. This name came because of heavy water resources around the town. The name 'Jalgaon Jamod' developed because of a smaller village called 'Jamod' near to Jalgaon. Mughal emperors gave the name ‘Jamod’ after 1630 AD, when Mughal emperor Shahjahan's wife Mumtaz Mahal was traveling with Shah Jahan's earlier military campaigns. She started facing pregnancy complications in Jamod which led to death in the city of Burhanpur near Jalgaon Jamod. After this incident Mughals started calling the village Ja-e-Maut (Place of Death). Ja-e-Maut was a Persian word later called Ja-maut, Ja-mod or Jamod by locals. As per Ain-e-Akbari, it was a Pargana town in the Sarkar (then district) of Narnala of Berar Subah. 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election
The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority. Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis. Since a council of ministers had not been formed after no party could manage to form the government, President's rule was imposed in the state. 2014 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Election

Jalamb is one of the constituencies of Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha in the Buldhana district during 1957-1962 and 1978-to-2004 State elections. Revenue Block
Revenue blocks, revenue circles, ''firka'', or ''patwar circles'' are the local revenue sub-divisions of the various districts of the states of India. These blocks should not be confused with the similar Panchayath union blocks (Blocks) and ''taluks''. Buldhana district (Marathi pronunciation: ulɖʰaːɳa is located in the Amravati division of Maharashtra, India. It is situated at the western border of Vidarbha region and is 500 km away from the state capital, Mumbai.
