''How Poets Wait for a Miracle'' ( cs, Jak básníci čekají na zázrak) is a 2016 Czech comedy film directed by Dušan Klein and written by Ladislav Pecháček. The final installment in the "Poets hexalogy", the title is preceded by '' How the World Is Losing Poets'' (1982), '' How Poets Are Losing Their Illusions'' (1985), '' How Poets Are Enjoying Their Lives'' (1988), ''Konec básníků v Čechách'' (1993), and ''Jak básníci neztrácejí naději'' (2004). The film stars Pavel Kříž and David Matásek as two lifelong friends, now in their fifties and still looking for love and the perfect job, and now also dealing with a child. Synopsis Štěpán's wife, Anička, with whom he fell in love in the last film, has died and left him as a single dad and a 50-year-old hypochondriac. Josef Abrhám
Josef Abrhám (14 December 1939 – 16 May 2022) was a Czech film and theatre actor. Biography He originally began studying acting at Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava and later moved to Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 1962. While still a student, he played at the National Theatre, after graduation he performed for three seasons at the Vinohrady Theater. In 1965–1982 he was one of the leading actors in The Drama Club in Prague and has been noted as one of the Czech Republic's best performers. Jiří Lábus (born 26 January 1950, in Prague) is a Czech actor. His brother is the Czech architect Ladislav Lábus. In 1973, he graduated from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and joined the theatre Studio Ypsilon, where he remains employed to this day.
