Jagath Jayasuriya
General Jagath Jayasuriya, VSV, USP is a retired senior Sri Lanka Army officer; he was the Chief of Defence Staff of the Sri Lanka Armed Forces and Commander of the Sri Lankan Army. During the closing stages of the Sri Lankan Civil War, he served as the Commander Security Forces Headquarters - Wanni with overall command of SLA offensives in the Wanni region during the 2008 - 2009 period. He was also the Sri Lankan Ambassador to Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Suriname from June 2014 to August 2017. Education and family Educated at the Royal College, Colombo, Jayasuriya captained the college boxing team in 1977, winning colours for boxing and was a senior prefect. Jagath Chamila Fernando ( si, ජගත් චමිල: born 6 June 1972) is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television. He made his film debut in 1992 in the Sinhalese film ''Guru Gedara'', portraying a child. In 2013, he won the award for the Best Actor at New York International Film festival for his portrayal of Sami in ''Samige Kathava'', a film based on Elmo Jayawardena's novel ''Sam's Story'' (2001). He is considered one of five actors who have dominated the Sri Lankan stage by critics. Family Chamila was born on 6 June 1972. His father, Tinil Fernando, was a school principal and his mother, Veenal Biatrice, is a housewife. He has two brothers, Ajith Tinil and Prasad Saman, and one, sister Nirosha Shayamali. Jagath Wickramasinghe
Jagath Wickramasinghe ( si, ජගත් වික්රමසිංහ; born 10 April 1966) is a Sri Lankan musician. He is the current Chairman of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. Wickramasinghe pursued a career as an engineer, but later decided to become a musician like his parents. His career took off after his songs were played on stations owned by the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. He is one of the first three judges on ''Sirasa Superstar'' for season 1 to 3.
