Jacques Marie Boutet De Monvel
Jacques Marie Boutet (25 March 1745 – 13 February 1812) was a French actor and comic playwright from Lunéville. His pseudonym was Monvel. He was a small, thin man without good looks or voice, and yet he became one of the greatest comedians of his time. Biography After some years of apprenticeship in the provinces, he made his debut in 1770 at the Comédie-Française in Merope and Zenaide; he was received sociétaire in 1772. For some unknown reason, Monvel secretly left Paris for Sweden in 1781, as the head of a troupe of French actors. He became reader to the king, a post which he held for several years. Lunéville
Lunéville ( ; German, obsolete: ''Lünstadt'' ) is a commune in the northeastern French department of Meurthe-et-Moselle. It is a subprefecture of the department and lies on the river Meurthe at its confluence with the Vezouze. History Lunéville was a renowned resort in the 18th century, known as the capital of Lorraine. The grand Château de Lunéville, built in 1702 for Leopold, Duke of Lorraine to replace an older palace, was the residence of the duke of Lorraine until the duchy was annexed by France in 1766. The château was designed in the style of Versailles to satisfy Leopold's wife, Élisabeth Charlotte d'Orléans, the niece of Louis XIV, and became known as the "Versailles of Lorraine". Magdeleine-Marie Desgarcins (1769 at Mont-Dauphin (Hautes Alpes)27 October 1797 in Paris) was a French actress. Her stage name was Louise Desgarcins or Madame Desgarcins. In her short career she became one of the greatest of French ''tragédiennes'', the associate of Talma, with whom she nearly always played. Her debut at the Comédie-Française occurred on 24 May 1788, in '' Bajazet'', with such success that she was made ''sociétaire'' the following year. She was one of the actresses who left the Comédie-Française in 1791 for the house in the rue Richelieu, soon to become the Théâtre de la République, and there her triumphs were no less in ''King Lear'', ''Othello'', La Harpe's ''Mélanie et Virginie'', etc. Her health, however, failed, and she died insane, in Paris, on 27 October 1797. Nybroplan (Swedish for "New Bridge square") is a public space in central Stockholm, Sweden. Located on the border between the city districts Norrmalm and Östermalm, Nybroplan connects a number of major streets, including Birger Jarlsgatan, Strandvägen, Hamngatan, and Nybrogatan. Théâtre De L'Opéra-Comique
The Salle Favart, officially the Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique, is a Paris opera house and theatre, the current home of the Opéra-Comique. It was built from 1893 to 1898 in a neo-Baroque style to the designs of the French architect Louis Bernier and is located on the Place Boïeldieu just south of the Boulevard des Italiens. Pierre Terrail, seigneur de Bayard (c. 1476 – 30 April 1524) was a Kingdom of France, French knight and military leader at the transition between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, generally known as the Chevalier de Bayard.
