Baylor University Sexual Assault Scandal
The Baylor University sexual assault scandal was the result of numerous allegations of and convictions for sexual and non-sexual assaults committed by Baylor University students, mostly players in the Baylor Bears football team. During a period from about 2012 to 2016, school officials suppressed reports of rapes and sexual misconduct. In 2016, Baylor's football team came under fire when it was revealed university officials had failed to take action regarding the alleged rapes and assaults. The scandal led to the ousting of head football coach Art Briles, the demotion and eventual resignation of Baylor president Ken Starr, the resignation of athletic director Ian McCaw, and the firing of two others connected with the football program. Jacob "Jake" Anderson (born April 29, 1984), better known by his stage name Prof, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He released his first full-length album, ''Project Gampo'', in 2007 and has since released five additional albums and three EPs. In 2012, '' City Pages'' named Prof on their list of Minnesota's 20 best rappers. He was formerly signed to Rhymesayers Entertainment. Jacob Anderson-Minshall (born September 14, 1967) is an American author. Early life and education Assigned as female at birth, Anderson-Minshall was raised Catholic on a farm outside of Inkom, Idaho. He cites his mother's influence in social justice issues sparking his interest since preschool, and went with his mom to women's rights rallies and campaigned for the Equal Rights Amendment. In high school, he spent a year in Germany as part of the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program. He also participated in anti-nuclear protests. In college, Anderson-Minshall was active in the anti-Apartheid movement opposing South Africa's system of apartheid and supporting South Africa's non-whites, and marched in support of women's reproductive rights. He received a B.A. in Peace and Global Studies from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana and a master's degree in Communication from Idaho State University in Pocatello.
