Jackie Cox is the stage name of Darius Rose, (born April 10, 1985) a Canadian drag queen based in New York City, known for being a competitor on the twelfth season of ''RuPaul's Drag Race'' and ultimately placing fourth in the competition. Early life Rose was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to a Canadian father and an Iranian mother. He attended UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television to study theatre and upon graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree, he moved to New York with the goal of doing theatre professionally. Career In 2002, Rose transferred to University High School in Irvine where he starred in productions of Dark of the Moon, Les Miserables and Bat Boy the musical. In 2003 he was crowned Prom King as an openly gay student. In 2009, Rose discovered drag. RuPaul's DragCon LA
RuPaul's DragCon LA is an annual expo of drag culture held in Los Angeles billed as a "convention that celebrates 'the art of drag, queer culture and self-expression for all'", which debuted in 2015. Its sister event is RuPaul's DragCon NYC started in 2017, and is considered the "world's largest celebration of drag culture." Hijab
In modern usage, hijab ( ar, حجاب, translit=ḥijāb, ) generally refers to headcoverings worn by Muslim women. Many Muslims believe it is obligatory for every female Muslim who has reached the age of puberty to wear a head covering. While such headcoverings can come in many forms, hijab often specifically refers to a cloth wrapped around the head, neck and chest, covering the hair and neck but leaving the face visible. Grace Gaustad is a Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter. Gaustad rose to prominence in 2018 when they launched a YouTube channel with their performance of Hozier's "Take Me to Church" which received more than 25 million views. ''Welcome to Jupiter 1.0'', their second EP, was released in 2021. Gaustad released their debut album, ''BLKBX: wht r u hding'', in August 2021.
