Jack Taylor (American Actor)
Jack Taylor (born George Brown Randall; October 21, 1936) is an American actor best known for starring in many European low-budget films, low-budget exploitation films of the 1970s, in particular several directed by Spanish cult filmmaker Jesús Franco. Born in the Portland, Oregon suburb of Oregon City, Oregon, Oregon City, Taylor began acting onstage as a child. In the 1950s, he began appearing in small roles on Los Angeles-based television series before moving to Mexico and starring in several films directed by Federico Curiel. Taylor had several minor roles in films in the early 1960s, including ''Cleopatra (1963 film), Cleopatra'' (1963) and ''Custer of the West'' (1966) before having a lead role in Jesús Franco's ''Succubus (film), Succubus'' (1968). John James Taylor (10 December 1897 – 1971), often known as J. J. Taylor, was an English professional golfer. He won the Dutch Open in 1929. Early life Taylor was born in Northam, Devon, the son of Richard and Emma Jane Taylor who had been married in 1884. Despite being from the same small town in Devon, Taylor was unrelated to J. H. Taylor. Golf career Taylor was an assistant professional at Radyr Golf Club in south Wales when he played for the 1922 Findlater Shield. The following year he won the event, played at Bushey Hall, by 6 strokes. In 1924 he moved to Crews Hill in north London. He entered the Open Championship that year and scored 72 in the first qualifying round, tying third place of those playing at Formby. A 77 at Hoylake left him tied for 5th place in the qualifying. Jack Taylor (1945 or 1946 – 4 February 2006) was reputedly Britain's fattest man. Taylor claimed to weigh (or 317 kg) being 48st when he worked at Morley's using their weighbridge. He wore specially made trousers measuring at the waist. He became all but a recluse, spending his days simply eating and watching videos, venturing outside exclusively for hospital appointments. Taylor achieved notoriety in Germany for his eccentric appearance, notably a wig which he fashioned himself from electrical tape. If anyone asked him about his "hair", he would answer "It's Jack's creation, Jack likes it and it suits him!". His diet was said to consist of up to 15 tandooris each day. John Alfred Taylor (December 1928 – February 3, 2023) was an American broadcaster who was the host of '' The Jack Taylor Show '' on 1220 WKRS Radio in the Chicago area. His career in broadcasting began in the Armed Forces Radio, then took him to WINN in Louisville, Kentucky, and in 1950, to WCFL in Chicago. He moved to WBBM Radio Chicago in 1954, and then to his broadcast home for many years, WGN-TV, Chicago in 1958. Taylor was an anchor, host, and announcer on WGN-TV, and became a financial news anchor, commentator and interviewer for many years on “The Stock Market Observer” on Chicago's WCIU-TV channel 26. He moved to WebFN, a 24-hour financial news network, before eventually returning to radio. In 2001, Taylor was inducted into the TV Academy's Silver Circle. Jack Taylor (born October 12, 1990) is an American former college basketball player at Grinnell College. He holds the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) record for most points in a single game after scoring 138 in 2012. He also scored the NCAA's third-highest total of 109 in 2013. Taylor played four years of basketball at Black River Falls High School in Wisconsin, where he was an All-State player and was the second-leading scorer in the school's history. He then attended boarding school at Mercersburg Academy in Pennsylvania, where he suffered a major knee injury. After recovering, he played one season at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
