John Thomas Perkins (20 January 1903 – 12 May 1955) was an Australian rules footballer who played with St Kilda in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Family The son of David Perkins (1871-1939), and Julia Perkins (1876-1957), née Looney, John Thomas Perkins was born at Chiltern Valley, Victoria on 20 January 1903. Earl Jack Perkins (September 19, 1921 – March 7, 1998) was an American film actor. He appeared in over one hundred films from 1956 to 1983, toward the end of his career mainly as a comic drunk. Background Born in Medford, Wisconsin, Perkins served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Jack Morton Perkins (December 28, 1933 – August 19, 2019) was an American reporter, commentator, war correspondent, and anchorman. He was dubbed "America's most literate correspondent" by the Associated Press. Early life Perkins was born on December 28, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Case Western Reserve University in 1956. While at Case Western Reserve, Perkins joined the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. Career Perkins appeared on ''NBC Nightly News'' and ''The Today Show'', and on A&E as host of ''Biography''. Until 2012, he hosted ''A Gulf Coast Journal'', a weekly magazine show which aired on Tampa, Florida PBS member station WEDU-TV. He also hosted and narrated special programs on Chattanooga, Tennessee PBS member station WTCI-TV. Jack 'Perko' Perkins (born 22 August 1986) is an Australian motor racing driver who competes in the Pirtek Enduro Cup. He currently co-drives with Will Brown in the No. 9 Holden ZB Commodore for Erebus Motorsport. He is the son of retired Australian race driver and former team owner Larry Perkins, in whose team Perkins Engineering, he drove between 2006 and 2008. Initially competing as an endurance race only driver in 2006, in 2007 Perkins graduated to the full-time drive in the No. 11 Perkins Engineering car, the number made famous in Australian racing by his father. Perkins stepped back from full-time driving in Supercars' top category in 2015 to sign with the Holden Racing Team as a co-driver for the Pirtek Enduro Cup. In 2019, Perkins collected his first Bathurst podium, finishing in third place alongside James Courtney in the No. 22 Holden ZB Commodore for Walkinshaw Andretti United.
