''Jack London's Tales of the Klondike'' is a Canadian produced television drama miniseries which was produced by William Macadam's Norfolk Communications and aired on CBC Television in 1981 and in the UK, Germany, France and other countries around the world as ''a Norfolk production'' produced by William I. Macadam Premise This series of seven 52 minute 16mm colour films made for television episodes featured dramatised versions of Jack London's works, narrated by Orson Welles. and included in the international cast Eva Gabor, John Candy, Robert Carradine, Scott Hylands, Cherie Lunghi, Mavor Moore, Neil Munroe, John Ireland, Linda Sorenson and Tom Butler. Orson Welles
George Orson Welles (May 6, 1915 – October 10, 1985) was an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter, known for his innovative work in film, radio and theatre. Queen's University at Kingston, commonly known as Queen's University or simply Queen's, is a public research university in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Queen's holds more than of land throughout Ontario and owns Herstmonceux Castle in East Sussex, England. Queen's is organized into eight faculties and schools. Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR; "Bavarian Broadcasting") is a public-service radio and television broadcaster, based in Munich, capital city of the Free State of Bavaria in Germany. Peter Wildeblood
Peter Wildeblood (19 May 1923 – 14 November 1999) was an Anglo-Canadian journalist, novelist, playwright and gay rights campaigner. He was one of the first men in the UK publicly to declare his homosexuality. Early life Peter Wildeblood was born in Alassio, on the Italian Riviera, in 1923. He was the only child of Henry Seddon Wildeblood (b. 1863), a retired engineer from the Indian Public Works Department, and his second wife, Winifred Isabel, née Evans, the daughter of a sheep rancher in Argentina. He was brought up in his parents' cottage near Ashdown Forest. His mother was considerably younger than his father, and Wildeblood later wondered whether that had affected his development. Peter Pearson (born March 13, 1938) is a Canadian film director and screenwriter. Biography Pearson studied Political science and Economics at the University of Toronto and Television Production at Ryerson Institute of Technology before attending film school in Rome. Upon his return to Canada his first job was as a journalist for the Timmins Daily Press. In 1964 he was hired by the CBC and worked there for two years as a director-producer-writer. He joined the NFB in 1966 where he began making documentaries, including three with American social activist Saul Alinsky. His work received nineteen Canadian Film Awards – more than any other Canadian director. Claude Fournier (born July 23, 1931 in Waterloo, Quebec) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter, editor and cinematographer. He is one of the forerunners of the Cinema of Quebec. He is the twin brother of Guy Fournier. Career Claude Fournier began his career in journalism then moved to the Radio-Canada as a news cameraman. He joined the National Film Board of Canada in 1957 as a writer and director, and he worked on early cinéma-vérité films such as '' À Saint-Henri le cinq septembre'' and '' La lutte''. He left the Board to work in the United States with famed documentary filmmakers Richard Leacock and D.A.
