Jack Drake is a fictional character from DC Comics books, specifically the '' Batman'' titles. Jack is the father of Tim Drake, formerly the third Robin. Fictional character biography Initial history and family A well-respected businessman and archeologist, Jack Drake could never stay down in one place for long lengths of time. He did stick around Gotham City long enough to meet a young woman named Janet, who would later become his wife. The couple became a strong team in business, expanding their company far and wide. As time passed, Janet gave birth to the Drake's first and only son, Timothy. Although the Drakes loved their son, business always seemed to take a higher priority; Tim was often left behind in a series of Gotham boarding schools while they traveled the world. When Tim was still a young child, his parents took him to Haly's Circus. Jack Edwin Drake (July 29, 1934 – October 11, 2015) was an American politician in the Iowa State Representative from the 21st District. A Republican, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1993 until his death. Drake was born and raised near Walnut, Iowa, and lived in Griswold. Drake attended the University of Iowa. , Drake served on several committees in the Iowa House – the Agriculture, Appropriations, and State Government committees. He also served as the chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee. Biography Drake was first elected in 1992. He was born on July 29, 1934, in Walnut, Iowa. His father, Wallace, and mother, Arlene, were both farmers. He attended grade school at Lincoln #2 Country School in Walnut. He graduated from Atlantic High School. Following graduation, he attended the University of Iowa. In 1954, he married his wife, Shirley, and together they have raised four children, three of which still live in SW Iowa. ...

John Montague Drake (15 March 1904 – 23 April 1941) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League. Early life The son of Frederick David Drake (1857–1941) and Mary Elizabeth Drake, née Falvey (1868–1956), John Montague Drake was born in Perth on 15 March 1904. The Drake family moved to Melbourne before he reached school age and Jack Drake was educated at Xavier College. Football Drake joined Hawthorn during the 1926 VFL season and scored a goal on debut against Fitzroy, but was also injured and missed the next six weeks. He played two more games at the end of the season but failed to make the senior squad for the 1927 season. World War II Jack Drake enlisted to serve in the Australian Army during World War II in December 1939.
