John Aloysius Collins (4 October 1904 – 25 July 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Melbourne Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Collins, who was originally from CBC St Kilda, was on a wing for Melbourne in their 1926 premiership team. He represented Victoria B against New South Wales in 1929. Jack Laurie Collins (13 February 1910 – 1 March 1972) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Geelong in the VFL during the 1930s. A centre half forward, Collins debuted for Geelong in 1929. He was a member of their 1931 premiership team and had his best season in 1938 when he finished equal 7th in the Brownlow Medal. Collins also represented Victoria 11 times in interstate football. He was named as an emergency in Geelong's official 'Team of the Century'. Jack Collins (footballer, Born 1930)
John Charles "Jack" Collins (5 January 1930 – 6 July 2008) was an Australian rules footballer who represented in the Victorian Football League (VFL). His father, Jim Collins, who had been the captain-coach of the Yarraville Football Club from 1918 to 1919, played 30 senior games for from 1919 to 1921. Collins was recruited to Footscray in 1950 from the Yarraville Football Club, and, for the next two years, he won the club's best-and-fairest award (later designated the Charles Sutton Medal). In 1953, Collins fronted the VFL Tribunal twice. In Junen, he was cleared of a striking charge against captain Ron Clegg, but later in the season he was involved in an incident with 's Frank Tuck. Both players were reported following a fierce fight and were subsequently suspended. Collins' four-week suspension meant he would miss the finals of the 1953 VFL season in which Footscray finished third.

Jack Cecil Collins (9 May 1925 – 4 January 1998) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the Fitzroy Football Club and Essendon Football Club in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Collins, who was recruited locally to Fitzroy, kicked seven goals in a game against St Kilda at Brunswick Street in his debut season. He was a talented wingman who came from Fitzroy where he played 31 games from 1945 to 1949. Prior to that he was with Fitzroy Sub Districts. He was speedy and his powerful left-foot kicks, usually delivered quickly after a swerving run, proved a source of drive. John Richard Collins (1 August 1932 – 18 June 2021) was an Australian cricket Test match umpire. Collins umpired five Test matches between 1972 and 1975. His first match was between Australia and Pakistan at Melbourne on 29 December 1972 to 3 January 1973, won by Australia by 92 runs. Collins' partner in this match was Peter Enright, also standing in his first Test match. In the preceding season, 1971/72, a scheduled tour of Australia by South Africa was cancelled following political and moral protests against the apartheid policies of the South African government. In its place a 'World Team' visited Australia and played a series of Test standard, although never officially recognised. Collins stood in one of these matches, and witnessed Garfield Sobers score 254, an innings he later regarded as the greatest he ever saw. John Collins (born June 25, 1943) is an American college basketball coach, educator, lawyer, and a Republican Party (United States), Republican Party politician from New Jersey. He was Speaker of the New Jersey General Assembly from 1996 until 2002, making him the longest serving speaker in Assembly history. Biography Collins was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Atlantic City and moved to Gloucester City, New Jersey at a young age. He attended Gloucester Catholic High School, where he excelled at basketball. He went on to Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), receiving a Bachelor of Arts, B.A. degree in science education in 1964 and a master's degree in student personnel services in 1967. With the Glassboro Profs basketball team, Collins scored 1,038 points in his career, earning him a place in the South Jersey Basketball Hall of Fame.
