Jacer
Jacer Australia is an Australian racing car manufacturer. The company specialises in designing and constructing Formula Vee racing cars for the Australian market. Started by teenage racer Jason Cutts in Marsden Park, Sydney, the first car, called a "Cutts" debuted in October 1995 and won its first race that weekend at Eastern Creek Raceway. In 1997 Cutts won the Australian Nationals and backed it up with a second national title in 2000. Originally intending to built just one car Cutts was soon requested to build cars for others. The name was quickly changed from Cutts to Jacer, an amalgamation of Jason and Racer. At this time Formula Vee in Australia was undergoing its first major technical innovation as 1600 cc Volkswagen engines were introduced to supplant and replace the aging 30-year-old 1200 cc which dated back to the categories creation in 1963. Eastern Creek Raceway
Sydney Motorsport Park (known until May 2012 as Eastern Creek International Raceway) is a motorsport circuit located on Brabham Drive, Eastern Creek (40-kilometres west of the Sydney CBD), New South Wales, Australia, adjacent to the Western Sydney International Dragway. It was built and is owned by the New South Wales Government and is operated by the Australian Racing Drivers Club. The circuit is one of only two permanent tracks in Australia with an FIA Grade 2 license and is licensed for both cars and motorcycles. History The development of circuit was approved in 1989 and construction began soon after. However, construction was delayed by poor weather and debates over land ownership. Formula Vee (Formula Fau Vee in Brazil and Germany) or Formula Volkswagen is a popular open wheel, single-seater junior motor racing formula, with relatively low costs in comparison to Formula Ford. On the international stage, Niki Lauda, Emerson Fittipaldi, Nelson Piquet and Keke Rosberg, all Formula 1 champions, and Scott Dixon a six time IndyCar champion raced Formula Vees in Europe, New Zealand, or America at the beginning of their careers. Marsden Park is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Marsden Park is located north-west of the Sydney central business district, in the Blacktown local government area and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. The rapid development of Marsden Park beginning 2013 has led an exponential increase in the suburb's population.
