JAM Creative Productions, Inc., is an American company that produces radio jingles, promo music for television, and commercial jingles for advertisers. It has made more radio jingles than any other jingle company and has become part of American pop culture. History The company was founded in 1974 by husband and wife Jonathan M. and Mary Lyn Wolfert. Prior to the formation of JAM, Jon worked for PAMS which he now owns and was a fan of their work. Jon also worked briefly at TM Productions (now TM Studios) and did freelance work for several other studios. JAM is the only production house of its type which has been continuously owned and operated by its founders for over 40 years. It produces jingles for clients ranging from local DJs to the most influential radio stations in the world. WPEN and WMGK Philadelphia were among the company's earliest major-market clients. Jingle
A jingle is a short song or tune used in advertising and for other commercial uses. Jingles are a form of sound branding. A jingle contains one or more hooks and meaning that explicitly promote the product or service being advertised, usually through the use of one or more advertising slogans. Ad buyers use jingles in radio and television commercials; they can also be used in non-advertising contexts to establish or maintain a brand image. Many jingles are also created using snippets of popular songs, in which lyrics are modified to appropriately advertise the product or service. Jovem Pan FM
Jovem Pan FM is a large Brazilian Radio Network, with 25 million listeners and 87 broadcasters, it is the largest FM radio network in Brazil, Latin America and the Southern Hemisphere, and is also one of the largest radio stations on the planet. The name is derived from the word ''jovem'', which means "young", and ''Pan''-american. The latter comes from the name of Radio Panamerican, which began broadcasting from São Paulo on May 3, 1944 and was purchased in November of the same year by entrepreneur and sports executive Paulo Machado de Carvalho. Scott Shannon
Michael Scott Shannon (born July 25, 1947) is an American radio disc jockey who hosted the morning show for WCBS-FM in New York City from 2014 to 2022 as well as ''Scott Shannon Presents America's Greatest Hits'' which is syndicated nationally with United Stations Radio Networks and Audacy. He previously worked for WHTZ, WPLJ, ''The True Oldies Channel'', and ''The Sean Hannity Show''. Early radio career Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Shannon grew up an Army brat in Indianapolis, Indiana. Robert Quinlan Costas (born March 22, 1952) is an American sportscaster who is known for his long tenure with NBC Sports, from 1980 through 2019. He has received 28 Emmy awards for his work and was the prime-time host of 12 Olympic Games from 1988 until 2016. He is currently employed by Warner Bros. Dick Bartley (born 26 July 1951), a popular American radio disc jockey since June 21, 1969, has hosted several popular syndicated radio shows of the oldies/classic hits genre, including the current ''Dick Bartley's Classic Hits'' and ''Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits'', both syndicated through United Stations Radio Networks. From 1982-2017, he was host of a national Saturday night call-in request show—the original version of ''Rock & Roll's Greatest Hits'' from 1991-2017—that aired live (until 2009, after which the program was pre-recorded); that program, along with the ''Classic Countdown'', were combined into the new ''Classic Hits'' show. Rigdon Osmond Dees III (born March 14, 1950), best known as Rick Dees, is an American entertainer, radio personality, comedian, actor, and voice artist, best known for his internationally syndicated radio show '' The Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 Countdown'' and for the 1976 satirical novelty song " Disco Duck". Kemal Amin "Casey" Kasem (April 27, 1932 – June 15, 2014) was an American disc jockey, actor, and radio personality, who created and hosted several radio countdown programs, notably '' American Top 40''.
