J. D. Payne And Patrick McKay
John D. Payne (born 1979/1980) and Patrick McKay (born 1980/1981) are an American screenwriting duo best known for developing the Amazon Prime Video series ''The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power''. Early life The two are originally from McLean, Virginia. The two met in 1997 on their high school debate team, and directed a short play that J. D. wrote for their school's festival. Payne attended Yale University and studied English Literature, graduating with honors. McKay attended Stonehill College and studied Theater Arts, and American University, where he received an MFA in Creative Writing. Roberto Gaston Orcí (born July 20, 1973) is a Mexican-American film and television screenwriter and producer. He began his longtime collaboration with Alex Kurtzman while at school in California. ''Jungle Cruise'' is a 2021 American fantasy adventure film directed by Jaume Collet-Serra from a screenplay written by Glenn Ficarra, John Requa, and Michael Green. It is based on Walt Disney's eponymous theme park attraction. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, the film stars Dwayne Johnson, Emily Blunt, Édgar Ramírez, Jack Whitehall, Jesse Plemons, and Paul Giamatti.
