J. Robert Harris (September 27, 1925 – February 13, 2000) was an American composer, notably of the 1967 '' Spider-Man'' television series theme song " Spider-Man". He is also credited with writing the theme for the film '' Lolita'' in 1962. ''Spider-Man'' is a superhero animated television series that was the first television series based on the Spider-Man comic book series created by writer Stan Lee and by artist Steve Ditko. It was jointly produced in Canada (voice acting) and the United States (animation). The show starred Paul Soles as the voice of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man. The first two seasons aired on the ABC television network, and the third was distributed in syndication. Grantray-Lawrence Animation produced the first season, and seasons two and three were produced by Krantz Films in New York City. Spider-Man (theme Song)
"Spider-Man" is the theme song of the 1967 cartoon show ''Spider-Man'', composed by Paul Francis Webster and Bob Harris. The original song was recorded at RCA Studios in Toronto (where the cartoon was produced) featuring 12 CBC vocalists (members of the Billy Van Singers, and Laurie Bower Singers groups) who added to the musical backing track supplied by RCA Studios, New York. The singers were paid only for the session and have had no residuals from its use since then. The song has since been adopted as Spider-Man's official theme, including in-universe.
