J. R. Quiñahan
Joseph Ronald "J. R." Quiñahan (born May 8, 1984) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the NLEX Road Warriors of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Professional career Alaska Aces Quiñahan was drafted by the Alaska Aces seventh overall in the 2007 PBA draft. In his rookie year in the PBA with Alaska, Quiñahan averaged 2.9 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 9.7 minutes in 39 games. Burger King Whoppers / Air21 Express On September 22, 2008, Quiñahan was traded by the Aces to the Burger King Whoppers for Mark Borboran. Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters In March 2010, him, Mark Yee, and Aaron Aban was traded by Air21 (formerly Burger King) to the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters for Yancy de Ocampo and Ren-Ren Ritualo. The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association owned by Asian Coatings Philippines, Inc. It debuted in the league in the 2006–07 PBA season after acquiring the franchise rights of the Shell Turbo Chargers in 2006, which disbanded after the 2004–05 PBA season. From 1996 to 2006, the franchise played in the Philippine Basketball League, carrying the name Welcoat House Paints, Welcoat Paintmasters and the St. Benilde-Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, winning a total of six championships. 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend
The 2016 PBA All-Star Weekend was the annual all-star weekend of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA)'s 2015–16 season which was held on August 4–7, 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City. This was the fourth All-Star Weekend that was held at the Coliseum, the first since 2009. Schedule of events The All-Star Weekend festivities started on August 4, 2016 with a visit of PBA players in the Heroes Ward of the V.Luna General Hospital, and a meet and greet session with the PBA players at the Ali Mall. The following day, there were the Obstacle Challenge, 3 point shootout, the slam dunk competition and the Blitz game between the Greats and Stalwarts, of which were held at the main venue. Beau Michael Vincent Esparrago Belga (born November 30, 1986) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters of the Philippine Basketball Association. He is also an assistant coach for the UST Growling Tigers of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). Albert Henry "Ali" Peek (born February 13, 1975) is a Filipino-American retired professional basketball player who played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). During his playing days, he played mostly at the center position, although he was also used as a power forward occasionally. Early life Peek was born in Hawaii but grew up in California. Florendo R. "Renren" Ritualo Jr. (born June 14, 1979) is a Filipino former professional basketball player and current assistant coach. The TNT Tropang Giga is a professional basketball team currently owned by Smart Communications, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT), playing in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) since 1990. Aaron Abril Galarrita Aban (born April 8, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Sta. Rosa Laguna Lions of the Pilipinas Super League. Born in Cagayan de Oro, he graduated his high school at Liceo de Cagayan University and went to Colegio de San Juan de Letran in college. Mark Borboran
Mark Anthony Rosales Borboran (born November 1, 1984) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He went to college at the José Rizal University and later he moved to University of the East where he was a vital cog to his college team. Borboran is 6-4 small forward who can shoot, rebound, and pass. He was drafted sixth overall in the 2008 PBA draft by the Air21 Express but was then traded to the Alaska Aces during draft night. Borboran was part of the UE Red Warriors squad that swept the elimination round (14-0) of the 2007 UAAP season. He won a spot on the mythical team on the same year.
