J. J. Johnson (producer)
James Anthony Johnson, known professionally as J. J. Johnson, is a Canadian-born writer, director, executive producer, and founding member of Sinking Ship Entertainment. He is the creator of children's television programmes, including ''This is Daniel Cook'', ''Dino Dana'' and ''Endlings''. He also serves on the Youth Media Alliance board as a co-chair. Early life One of four children, Johnson grew up in Elmira, Ontario and started experimenting with film and media in his final year of high school. Johnson was in the running for school president when he and two friends made a Saturday Night Live inspired video featuring Supermarket Sweep host Tino Monte. Sinking Ship Entertainment is a Canadian-based production, distribution and interactive company specializing in kids' live-action CGI blended series. The company's headquarters are located in Toronto, Ontario. Since its founding in 2004, Sinking Ship has produced over 500 hours of content and their distribution division has sold to over 200 countries internationally. I Dare You (Canadian TV Program)
''I Dare You'' is a Canadian children's television program hosted by Daniel Cook that aired between September 4, 2006 and January 13, 2007. Cook dares viewers to participate in three physical exercises. At the end of the program all three movements are combined. The program aims to encourage physical activity, not simply passive viewing. ''Annedroids'' is a Canadian CGI/live action television series created by J. J. Johnson. The series is produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment in association with broadcasters TVOntario, SRC and KiKa. ''Annedroids'' was released on Amazon Prime Video on July 25, 2014 in the UK and U.S. and premiered on August 25, 2014 on TVOKids in Ontario, Canada. The show's aim is to educate children about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) from the perspectives of an 11-year-old girl, her friends, and her three Android creations. SRC and KiKa both agreed to opt for 26 episodes of ''Annedroids'' over two seasons, while TVO purchased four seasons.
