Jess David Spurlock (born November 18, 1959) is an author, illustrator, editor, and artist's-rights advocate best known as the founder of Vanguard Productions, a publisher of art books, graphic novels, and prints. George Pratt (artist)
George Pratt (born October 13, 1960) is an United States, American Painting, painter and illustrator known for his work in the comic book field. Biography In 1980, at the age of 19, George Pratt left his native Beaumont, Texas, Beaumont, Texas, and moved to New York City to study drawing and painting at the Pratt Institute. Comics Pratt's first published comics work was for Marvel Comics' ''Epic Illustrated'' #20 (1983). Since then, his work has appeared in ''Heavy Metal (magazine), Heavy Metal'', ''Eagle (comic), Eagle'', and many other publications. Marshall Arisman (October 14, 1938 – April 22, 2022) was an American illustrator, painter, storyteller, and educator. Biography Arisman was born in Jamestown, New York, on October 14, 1938, where he grew up on a dairy farm. He studied advertising art at the Pratt Institute, graduating in 1960. He received an Ida Gaskell Grant to travel and study in Europe after graduating. He completed military service, then began his career as a graphic designer, working for General Motors. Barron Storey (born 1940, Dallas, TX) is an American illustrator, graphic novelist, and educator. He is famous for his accomplishments as an illustrator and fine artist, as well as for his career as a teacher. Storey has taught illustration since the 1970s and currently is on the faculty at San Jose State University. He trained at Art Center in Los Angeles and under Robert Weaver at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
