J. C. Ritchie
Juan Carlo "J.C." Ritchie (born 24 February 1994) is a South African professional golfer. He plays on the European Tour and the Sunshine Tour where he has won ten times. Professional career Ritchie's first win on the Sunshine Tour was at Royal Harare Golf Club in the 2017 Zimbabwe Open where he beat Trevor Fisher Jnr at the second hole of a playoff. He was third in the 2018 BMW SA Open and also finished third in the 2017–18 Sunshine Tour Order of Merit. In August 2018 he won the Sun Carnival City Challenge. In March 2019, partnered with Jaco Prinsloo, he won the Sunshine Tour Team Championship and the following week won the Limpopo Championship at the first hole of a playoff with Steve Surry. The following month he won the Zanaco Masters in Zambia, again at the first hole of a playoff against Rhys Enoch. Standerton
Standerton is a large commercial and agricultural town lying on the banks of the Vaal River in Mpumalanga, South Africa, which specialises in cattle, dairy, maize and poultry farming. The town was established in 1876 and named after Boer leader Commandant A. H. Stander. During the First Boer War a British garrison in the town was besieged by the Boers for three months. General Jan Smuts won this seat during elections and went on to assist in setting up the League of Nations. Standerton is part of the Lekwa Local Municipality. History Standerton was founded in 1878 on a farm called ''Grootverlangen'' and named after its owner Commandant Adriaan Henrik Stander. Bain's Whisky Cape Town Open
The Cape Town Open is a golf tournament on the Sunshine Tour in Cape Town, South Africa. From 2012 to 2016, it was played annually in November at Royal Cape Golf Club. In 2018, it moved to February at the King David Mowbray Golf Club. Rhys Enoch won by one stroke from Peter Karmis. In 2019, the event moved to the Royal Cape Golf Club and was won by Benjamin Follett-Smith. The 2020 edition was co-sanctioned with the Challenge Tour and had increased prize money of US$250,000 (R3,500,000). Because of the large field, two courses were used for the first two rounds; Royal Cape Golf Club and King David Mowbray Golf Club. 2020 Challenge Tour
The 2020 Challenge Tour is a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. It was introduced in 1986 and was originally called the Satellite Tour, before being renamed with its present title in 1990. After beginning with three tournaments in South Africa co-sanctioned with the Sunshine Tour, the remainder of the season was severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many tournaments being cancelled or postponed.
