Joshua Elia Williams (born 3 September 1986), known by his stage name J. Williams, is a New Zealand R&B recording artist and professional hip-hop dancer. He made his musical debut in 2008 with " Blow Your Mind" which peaked at number 13 on the New Zealand Singles Chart. In early 2009 his debut album '' Young Love'' was released with the single "You Got Me" featuring Scribe. It was certified platinum and became the #1 selling single of 2010 in New Zealand. Biography Joshua Elia Williams was born on 3 September 1986. His father is of Samoan descent and his mother of Fijian descent. He attended Weymouth Intermediate School in Weymouth, South Auckland and attended James Cook High School in Manurewa. He compares his upbringing to that of the Jackson 5 family, as his father was very strict regarding religion and music. The Jackson 5 (sometimes stylized as the Jackson 5ive, also known as the Jacksons) are an American pop band composed of members of the Jackson family. The group was founded in 1964 in Gary, Indiana, and for most of their career consisted of brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael. They were managed by their father Joe Jackson. The group were among the first African American performers to attain a crossover following. The Jackson 5 performed in talent shows and clubs on the Chitlin' Circuit, then signed with Steeltown Records in 1967 and released two singles. Dane Aaron Rumble (born 9 February 1982) is a New Zealand recording artist. He is a former member of New Zealand hip hop group, Fast Crew. Background Rumble was born in Kirwee, Canterbury, and received his secondary education at St Peter's College, Auckland. Music career Fast Crew: 1999–2009 Rumble started out in 1999 as the co-founder, writer and co-producer of New Zealand Hip-Hop act Fast Crew. Their debut single " I Got" peaked at number four in the RIANZ New Zealand Singles Chart, and their debut album ''Set the Record Straight'' peaked number 11 on the Album Chart. Erakah is a New Zealand R&B and soul singer. In 2009, she featured on R&B singer J.Williams single "Your Style" of his album ''Young Love''. "Stand with You" is the fourth single from J. Williams' first studio album, '' Young Love''. The song features Williams' sister, Lavina Williams. Music video The music video was financially supported by New Zealand On Air. The music video starts with a teenaged boy window shopping, then walking through a train station, where he is met by a group of other boys who tease and bully him about a flier for a talent quest in his bag, before walking to a skating half-pipe, where he watches J. Williams dance. When invited to join in, he walks away. The boy walks home and teaches himself to hip-hop dance, intending to enter the talent quest. On the morning of the talent quest, the boy finds a pair of new shoes left by Williams. The Philippine All-Stars is a Filipino Hip-hop dance group from the Philippines. They won the 2006 and 2008 World Hip Hop Dance Championships.
