''J.E. Heartbreak'' is the second album by the American R&B group Jagged Edge. It was released by So So Def and Columbia on September 28, 1999, in the United States. The title of the album is a reference to R&B group New Edition's 1989 hit " N.E. Heart Break". Upon its release, the album peaked at number eight 8 on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and atop the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. It was also certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and reached silver status in United Kingdom. The album spawned four singles, three of which made the top 20 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. New Edition
New Edition is an American R&B/Pop group from the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, formed in 1978 by Bobby Brown. Their name is taken to mean a 'new edition' of the Jackson 5. The group reached its height of popularity in the 1980s and are considered the "blue print" for what would become the "modern boy band". The lineup originally consisted of Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant. Brown left the group in late 1985 to begin a successful solo career, and they continued as a quartet for one album, before adding Johnny Gill to the lineup in 1987. The Beatnuts are an American hip hop group and production duo from New York City. Its current members are JuJu and Psycho Les. JuJu (born Jerry Tineo on December 14, 1968) is a Dominican American from Corona and Psycho Les (born Lester Fernandez on April 10, 1970) is a Colombian American from Jackson Heights, Queens. The song is produced by The Beatnuts and features raps by Juju and Psycho Les, the first on-record performance by Cuban Link, and a notable early verse from Big Punisher.
