J'ai Demandé à La Lune
"J'ai demandé à la lune" ("I asked the moon" in English) is the most popular song from the 2002 album ''Paradize'' which allowed Indochine to reconnect with the media that had abandoned the band a decade earlier. Indochine had gone through a vast amount of criticism before the release of the song. Written by Mickaël Furnon, the singer of Mickey 3D, the song was released as the second single from this album in March 2002, and quickly became a national success, selling over a million units. The album similarly achieved commercial success a few months later. Background and music video During the recording of the album, Indochine's singer Nicola Sirkis asked Pauline, the 8 yo daughter of his friend Rudy Léonet to perform the background vocals. The music video shows Sirkis walking towards the camera with a baby, then a young child in his arms, and finally Pauline appears alongside him and sings a duet with Sirkis. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia. Ultratop charts The music charts produced by Ultratop organization are separated along regional-language boundaries, an unusual division that is justified by the cultural differences in Belgium. So it is that the mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region has one set of charts of record activity there, while the mainly French-speaking Wallonia region has another set to measure popularity in those provinces. The charts are broadcast on several Belgian radio stations, and ...

Ghostly Kisses
Ghostly Kisses is the musical project of French-Canadian singer-songwriter Margaux Sauvé. She is based in Quebec. She is signed to the British record label Akira Records. The name 'Ghostly Kisses’ was inspired by the William Faulkner poem ''Une ballade des dames perdues,'' which includes the verse "And brush my lips with little ghostly kisses." ''Clash'' describes her music as having "a weightless quality, something that transcends the ephemeral to grapple with key facets of our lives." Career Sauvé was in university studying psychology when she had a burst of creativity to start composing songs. She was a trained violinist but had never considered she could be a singer before. At the end of her studies, she showed her songs to Dragos Chiriac (Men I Trust) who praised Sauvé's voice and suggested they work together. She released her first single, "Never Know", in May 2015. Music Recording Sales Certification
Music recording certification is a system of certifying that a music recording has shipped, sold, or streamed a certain number of units. The threshold quantity varies by type (such as album, single, music video) and by nation or territory (see List of music recording certifications). Almost all countries follow variations of the RIAA certification categories, which are named after precious materials (gold, platinum and diamond). The threshold required for these awards depends upon the population of the territory where the recording is released. Typically, they are awarded only to international releases and are awarded individually for each country where the album is sold. Different sales levels, some perhaps 10 times greater than others, may exist for different music media (for example: videos versus albums, singles, or music download). History The original gold and silver record awards were presented to artists by their own record companies to publicize their sales achi ...
