Ivonne Class
Ivonne Class is a Puerto Rican theater producer. She is also a former boxing promoter and sportscaster. After the 2021 death of actress Myraida Chaves, Class is the director of the Centro de Bellas Artes de Caguas in the central Puerto Rican city of Caguas. Biography By the 1980s, the young Class was well known to fans of boxing in Puerto Rico as a promoter and broadcaster. She was the first woman to be licensed as a promoter in the country. In 1985, she worked alongside Puerto Rican boxing legend Wilfredo Gomez in the coverage, from Rimini, Italy, for WAPA-TV, of a boxing fight, the rematch between Victor Callejas and Loris Stecca, a fight won by Callejas by a sixth-round technical knockout to retain his World Boxing Association's world Super-Bantamweight title. Marisol Calero
Marisol Calero (born 13 September 1963) is a Puerto Rican actress and singer. Early years Calero was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, on 13 September 1963. As a child, Calero participated in school performances at the Academia del Perpetuo Socorro and briefly in the San Juan Children's Choir. As a teenager she attended the Escuela Libre de Música (Free School of Music) in San Juan where she continued to participate in the dramatic arts. She studied singing from the age of 14 under the sopranos Rina de Toledo, Vilna Echenique and Darysabel Isales. Theatrical career She started her professional career with a ''fino'' performance in a poetic musical, accompanied by her mother, the actress and politician Marta Font. Lissette Álvarez Chorens, commonly known as Lissette, (born March 10, 1947) is a singer, songwriter, and record producer from Cuba. She is best known for recording a Spanish language-version of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in 1985. Early life Lissette was born March 10, 1947, in Lima, Peru, at a time when her parents, Cuban TV stars Olga Chorens and Tony Álvarez (''Olga y Tony''), were touring South America. While living with her parents in Havana, Cuba, Lissette made her first recording at age 5, the children's song "El Ratoncito Miguel", which would eventually become a hit for her. Dommys Lourdes Delgado Berty is a Puerto Rican sports administrator. She was the president of the Puerto Rican Boxing Commission, becoming, in 1995, the first woman in history to be president of a national boxing commission, a fact that was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. Delgado Berty kept working in the sport of professional boxing until 2017.
