Ivar Lykke (architect)
Ivar Lykke (born 9 April 1941) is a Norwegian architect. He was born in Trondheim, and was a grandson of former Prime Minister Ivar Lykke. He graduated from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1965. He has worked in the architect firms ''4 B Arkitekter'' from 1973 to 1990 and ''Linje Arkitekter'' from 2000. In between he headed the architect's office of the Norwegian State Railways. Here he was responsible for many projects, including refurbishment of the stations at Lysaker, Skøyen Skøyen is a neighborhood of Oslo, Norway. Trondheim ( , , ; sma, Tråante), historically Kaupangen, Nidaros and Trondhjem (), is a city and municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. As of 2020, it had a population of 205,332, was the third most populous municipality in Norway, and was the fourth largest urban area. Ivar Lykke (politician)
Ivar Lykke (9 January 1872, Trondheim – 4 December 1949, Trondheim) was a Norwegian politician from the Conservative Party, who served as the 17th prime minister of Norway from 1926 to 1928. He was also president of the Storting from 1919 to 1927. World War Two Lykke was a member of the parliament's presidium in 1940; he stepped in (according to mandate) for president in exile, C. J. Hambro. On 27 June 1940 Lykke, and others of parliament's presidium, signed an appeal to King Haakon, about he desire forhis abdication. (The presidium back then consisted of the presidents and vicepresidents of parliament, Odelstinget and Lagtinget.) 1945 After World War Two, he and others were criticized (for actions in 1940) by a parliamentary fact-finding commission. Norwegian Institute Of Technology
The Norwegian Institute of Technology (Norwegian: ''Norges tekniske høgskole'', NTH) was a science institute in Trondheim, Norway. It was established in 1910, and existed as an independent technical university for 58 years, after which it was merged into the University of Trondheim as an independent college. In 1996 NTH ceased to exist as an organizational superstructure when the university was restructured and rebranded. The former NTH departments are now basic building blocks of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). NTH was primarily a polytechnic institute, educating master level engineers as well as architects. In 1992 NTH had 7627 master and doctoral students and 1591 employees; it graduated 1262 chartered engineers (master level), 52 chartered architects, and 92 Dr.Ing. (PhD). Norwegian State Railways
Vygruppen, branded as Vy, is a government-owned railway company which operates most passenger train services and many bus services in Norway. The company is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport. Its sub-brands include Vy Buss coach services, CargoNet freight trains and the Swedish train transport company Tågkompaniet. In 2009, NSB carried 52 million train passengers and 104 million bus passengers. On 24 April 2019, passenger train and bus services were rebranded as Vy. The company was established as the Norwegian State Railways (1883–1996). Lysaker Station
Lysaker Station ( no, Lysaker stasjon) is a railway station on the Drammen Line and Asker Line situated at Lysaker in Bærum, Norway. Located from Oslo Central Station, Lysaker is served by a mix of Vy express, regional and Oslo Commuter Rail trains, as well as Flytoget. The station is elevated and features two island platforms with four tracks. It's the terminus of the Asker Line. Lysaker was one of two original Drammen Line station in Bærum, opening on 7 October 1872. The original station building, designed by Georg Andreas Bull, burned down in 1914 and was replaced by a new station Adalbert Kielland. In the following years the elevated and double-track layout was introduced. This station arrangement was demolished in 1987 to make way for a station designed by Arne Henriksen.
