Ivanka Ninova ( bg, Иванка Нинова) is a Bulgarian mezzo-soprano opera singer born in Vidin. Education She began her musical education at a music school and later at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music in Sofia. Career Since 1989 she has been a soloist at the Sofia National Opera. Vidin ( bg, Видин, ; Old Romanian: Diiu) is a port city on the southern bank of the Danube in north-western Bulgaria. The National Opera and Ballet ( bg, Национална опера и балет) is a national cultural institution in Bulgaria that covers opera and ballet. ''Carmen'' () is an opera in four acts by the French composer Georges Bizet.
