Ivan Klimov
Ivan Frolovich Klimov ( be, Іва́н Фро́лавіч Клі́маў, russian: Иван Фролович Климов; 10 September 1903 – 9 October 1991) was a Soviet politician. He was the First Secretary of the Baranavichy Voblast Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Committee of the Communist Party from 1952 to 1953. I.F. Klimov was born in 1903 in the Kasciukoŭka, Kostykovka village in Gomel region. Member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). From 1915 to 1922 he worked on the Asipovichy-Slutsk railway and on water transport in Gomel. In 1931 he graduated from Belorussian Communist University. He participated in the Soviet invasion of Poland, Liberation campaign of the Red Army in Western Belarus, he worked in the interim administration of Vileyka Voblast, and later as the first secretary of Vileika regional party committee. Gomelsky Uyezd
Gomelsky Uyezd (''Гомельский уезд'') was one of the subdivisions of the Mogilev Governorate of the Russian Empire. It was situated in the southern part of the governorate. Minsk Region or Minsk Oblast or Minsk Voblasts ( be, Мі́нская во́бласць, ''Minskaja voblasć'' ; russian: Минская о́бласть, ''Minskaya oblast'') is one of the regions of Belarus. Its administrative center is Minsk, although it is a separate administrative territorial entity of Belarus. As of 2011, the region's population is 1,411,500. Geography Minsk Region covers a total of 39,900 km², about 19.44% of the national total area. Lake Narach, the largest lake in the country, is located in the northern part of the region.
