Ivan Gekoff
Ivan Gekoff is a Bulgaria-born Canadian cinematographer, and a member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, His experience comprises feature films, movie-of-the-weeks, TV programs, short films, TV commercials, music videos, as well as a number of projects for the National Film Board of Canada. He collaborates frequently with Canadian filmmaker B. P. Paquette. In total, Gekoff has worked on over 50 fiction and documentary films. Background Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1948, Gekoff has worked extensively in the film industry since 1971. He has a Master's degree in cinematography from the National Academy of Arts. Before emigrating to Canada, Gekoff worked as a camera operator using a self-designed camera stabilizer mount, much like a Steadicam, on Andrei Tarkovsky's ''Stalker'' that allowed for the film's acclaimed smooth shots over uneven surfaces. SaskFilm
The Canada Saskatchewan Production Studios are located in Regina, Saskatchewan at the corner of College Avenue and Broad Street. Built in 1913, the structure has served as a normal school, military training facility, and fine arts building for the University of Regina. It was internally gutted and reconstructed as a movie and television studio facility in 2002. The studios were operated by the Saskatchewan Film and Video Development Corporation (SaskFilm) a non-profit corporation responsible for promoting the film industry in Saskatchewan. Hathi
Hathi is a fictional character created by Rudyard Kipling for the Mowgli stories collected in ''The Jungle Book'' (1894) and ''The Second Jungle Book'' (1895). Hathi is a bull elephant that lives in the jungle. Kipling named him after ''hāthī'' (), the Hindi word for "elephant". Kipling's character Hathi is head of the elephant troop.
