Ivan Fedorov (politician)
Ivan Serhiyovych Fedorov (born 29 August 1988) is a Ukrainian politician who was elected the mayor of Melitopol in 2020. He was previously the first deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council and a member of the Melitopol City Council. Career Fedorov was elected to 6th convocation of the Melitopol city council. In 2015, he was elected first deputy head of the 7th convocation of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council. In 2020, he succeeded Serhii Minko as the mayor of Melitopol. On 6 March 2022, Fedorov was awarded the Order for Courage III Class for significant personal contribution to the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, courage and selfless actions shown during the organization of defense of settlements from Russian army during the Battle of Melitopol. Ivan Fyodorov (russian: Ива́н Фёдоров; died ) was a Russian navigator and commanding officer of the expedition to northern Alaska in 1732. After the First Kamchatka expedition of Vitus Bering, Russian exploration efforts were continued by Bering's lieutenant Martin Spanberg and the navigator Fyodorov. In 1732, with participants of the First Kamchatka expedition, land-surveyor Mikhail Gvozdev, and the navigator K. Moshkov, Fyodorov sailed to Dezhnev Cape, the easternmost point of Asia, in the ''St. Gabriel'' (russian: Святой Гавриил, ''Sviatoi Gavriil''). From there, after having replenished the water supply on 5 August, they sailed east and soon came near the mainland at the Cape Prince of Wales. They charted the northwestern coast of Alaska and mapped their route. Ivan Fyodorovich Koshkin (died 1427) was a boyar and Voivode at the court of Vasily I and Vasily II. He was a son of Fedor Andreevich Kobylin and a progenitor of the Romanov dynasty.
