Ivan Camilleri
Ivan Philip Camilleri (born April 18, 1969) is a Maltese-Canadian prelate of the Catholic Church who currently serves as an auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Toronto, having been appointed to the position in 2020. Before becoming a priest, he worked at Bell Canada Enterprises as an associate director of finance, as well as at Nortel and Marconi Canada. Early life, education, and career Camilleri was born in Sliema, Malta, on April 18, 1969. His family moved to Canada in 1980, when he was eleven, and he attended Philip Pocock Catholic Secondary School in Mississauga. Camilleri went on to study at Laurentian University, obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce in 1991. Two years later, he earned a Master of Business Administration from the Edinburgh Business School. Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Once entitled to the title "Excellency", the holder usually retains the right to that courtesy throughout their lifetime, although in some cases the title is attached to a particular office, and is held only for the duration of that office.
