Iulian Mihăescu
Iulian Mihăescu (born 11 September 1962) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a midfielder and defender. Career Iulian Mihăescu was born on 11 September 1962 in Târgoviște, starting his senior career by playing as a forward at Divizia B club, Flacăra Moreni. In 1985 he was transferred at Dinamo București, where he played mainly in the defense, making his Divizia A debut under coach Mircea Lucescu on 8 March 1986 in a 3–1 victory against FCM Bacău. FC Steaua București was a Romanian professional football club of which two current entities are claiming the records. The original ''FC Steaua București'' team was part of the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence. In 1998, the club and facilities were separated from the sports club and taken over by a group of shareholders in a post-Ceaușescu privatisation scheme, allegedly leading to one of the shareholders (Gigi Becali) acquiring full ownership five years later. 1989–90 Cupa României
The 1989–90 Cupa României was the 52nd edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Dinamo București against Steaua București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. Mircea Lucescu
Mircea Lucescu (; born 29 July 1945) is a Romanian professional football manager and former player, who is currently head coach of Ukrainian Premier League club Dynamo Kyiv. He is one of the most decorated managers of all time. Lucescu is also one of the most successful players of the Romanian league championship, having won all of his seven titles with Dinamo București. Apart from the latter club, he had spells at Știința București and Corvinul Hunedoara, and made 70 appearances for the Romania national team, which he captained in the 1970 FIFA World Cup. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II. The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07 Liga II, 2006–07.
