Iulian Boiko
Iulian Boiko (born 22 September 2005 in Kyiv, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian snooker player who was professional from 2020 to 2022. Career In May 2019, Boiko registered his first official century break in a 4–3 defeat against Billy Joe Castle in the Q School 2019 - Event 2. In January 2020, Boiko finished as runner-up in the WSF Open, as a result, he was awarded a two-year card on the World Snooker Tour for the 2020–21 and 2021–22. As a 14 years old, he became the youngest ever professional player. In March 2020, Boiko defeated Darren Morgan, a former professional player, by 5–3 in the final to become the EBSA European 6-Reds champion for the first time. Snooker World Rankings
The snooker world rankings are the official system of ranking professional snooker players to determine automatic qualification and seeding for tournaments on the World Snooker Tour. The ranking lists are maintained by the sport's governing body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. Each player's world ranking is based on their performances in designated ranking tournaments over the preceding two years. The world ranking list is updated after every ranking tournament. The UK Championship is a professional ranking snooker tournament. It is one of snooker's prestigious Triple Crown events, along with the World Championship and the Masters. It is usually held at the Barbican Centre, York. Ronnie O'Sullivan has won the tournament a record seven times, followed by Steve Davis with six titles and Stephen Hendry with five. The 2020 Matchroom.Live English Open was a professional snooker tournament that took place from 12 to 18 October 2020 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes, England. It was the second completed ranking event of the 2020–21 season, and the fifth edition of the English Open, first held in 2016. The event featured 123 professionals and 5 amateurs. On the first day of the event, two players withdrew from the event due to COVID-19 – Stuart Carrington tested positive, while Sam Craigie came into contact with Carrington. The British Open is a professional snooker tournament, held as a ranking tournament from 1985. The tournament had not been held since the 2004/2005 season, until the 2021/2022 season when it was confirmed as returning to the calendar after 17 years. The tournament had various sponsors and venues over the years. It took place around November each year. Prior to the 1999/2000 season, it was held later in the season.
