Itihaas (1987 Film)
''Itihaas'' (translated as "''History''") is a 1987 Hindi film directed by Joshiy, it stars Raaj Kumar, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, Rati Agnihotri, Mohnish Behl, Suresh Oberoi and Danny Denzongpa. This film was a remake of the Malayalam film ''Ithihasam'', directed by Joshiy himself in 1981. Synopsis Joginder Singh (Raaj Kumar) is an honest and dedicated Police Commissioner. He and his wife Sunaina (Shabana Azmi) have two sons, Vijay (Anil Kapoor) and Rakesh (Mohnish Behl) and a daughter Jyoti. One day, Rakesh arrests Kalicharan (Suresh Oberoi), henchman of underworld kingpin Alexander (Danny Denzongpa). He is disturbed when he learns of Kalicharan's release after his son's appeal. As if this was not enough, Alexander himself is trapped by police and the anger against Singh reaches its climax. Alexander goes free on bail and abducts and molests Jyoti. Joshiy
Joshiy (born 18 July 1952) is an Indian film director and producer from Varkala in Kerala who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with ''Tiger Salim'' (1978) and has directed over 80 films. He has also directed a few Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. In the beginning of his career, he received national fame when he directed ''Dharm Aur Qanoon'' (1984) starring Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra, with Khanna in double roles. Iftekhar
Sayedna Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1924 – 4 March 1995), often mononymously credited as Iftekhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his role as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College Of Arts. Iftekhar had a passion for singing and was impressed with the famous singer Kundanlal Sehgal. In his 20s, Iftekhar travelled to Calcutta for an audition conducted by the music composer Kamal Dasgupta, who was then serving for HMV. Suresh Wadkar
Suresh Ishwar Wadkar (born 7 August 1955) is an Indian playback singer. He performs in both Hindi and Marathi films. He has sung songs in some Bhojpuri films, Odia albums and bhajans and in Konkani films. He was awarded the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for 2018 for Sugam Sangeet.
