It is based in Rome and the technical department is in Coverciano, Florence. It organises the Italian football league and Coppa Italia. 2016 Euro Beach Soccer Cup
The 2016 Euro Beach Soccer Cup was the fifteenth edition of the ''Euro Beach Soccer Cup'', one of Europe's main, regular international beach soccer championships, organised every two years by Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW). It was held in June 2016, in Belgrade, Serbia, the first time the country has hosted and played in a BSWW sanctioned event. Eight nations took part which were the best nations in Europe based on their finish in last years 2015 Euro Beach Soccer League, plus hosts Serbia. France, however, pulled out and were replaced by Hungary. The competition reverted to being a straight knock-out tournament instead of involving a group stage first as in the previous edition in 2014, with classifying matches to determine the final standings of those who didn't reach the final. Gabriele Gori (born 10 October 1987) is an Italian beach soccer player who plays as a forward. Known for his agility in scoring many audacious bicycle kicks, he is one of the highest goalscorers of all-time in the sport, having amassed over 700 as of 2020, including winning the top scorer award at the 2017 and 2019 editions of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cups and becoming the all-time top scorer of the Italian national team. The 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers for UEFA was a beach soccer tournament played in Jesolo, Italy, from 2 to 11 September 2016, which determined the four teams that qualify to the 2017 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the Bahamas. Despite having five allocated spots for European nations at the World Cup, this was reduced to four for the 2017 edition as the World Cup hosts, the Bahamas, automatically claimed one of the two spots allocated to CONCACAF. And so as the confederation with the most slots, one UEFA spot was transferred over to CONCACAF to ensure that two nations would still have the opportunity to qualify from North America. The 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualifiers for UEFA was a beach soccer tournament played in Bibione, Italy from July 11–18, 2010, which determined the four teams that qualified to the 2011 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Ravenna, Italy. All matches were played at a temporary stadium on the beach at Piazzale Zenith in Bibione. The draw for the group stage of the competition was made at the end of June, 2010. The nations who reached the semi-finals of the tournament achieved qualification for the world cup who were Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland and Portugal.
