"It's Up to You" is a song by Norwegian rock girl band the Tuesdays, released in 1998 as the first single from their second album, ''The Tuesdays'' (1998). Produced by Ole Evenrud, it was well received by music critics and became a hit in Norway, peaking at number 11 on VG-lista and number three on the radio chart '' Ti i skuddet''. It also charted in the Netherlands. Outside Europe, the single hit success in Canada and the US, peaking at number 15 on the ''RPM'' Top Singles chart and number 55 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. It also reached number 23 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Top 40, and was played on heavy rotation on two of the most important Top 40 radio-stations in the US; WPLJ New York and KIIS-FM Los Angeles. The Tuesdays
The Tuesdays were a Norwegian rock group formed in 1990 in Larvik, Norway. Originally called No Limits, they were somewhat similar in sound to The Bangles. They released an album in 1994 in Norway and Japan, entitled ''When You're A Tuesday Girl'', under the name The Tuesday Girls and with Jeanette Heidenstrøm as vocalist. After reconfiguring to include singer Laila Samuelsen and drummer Linda Gustafsson, they changed their name to The Tuesdays and signed with Arista in 1997. Their self-titled album had some commercial success, especially the single " It's Up to You". Their follow-up album was rejected by Arista, and the group split up. Former lead singer Laila Samuelsen released a solo album in 2002 and is still involved in writing music. Chorus Effect
Chorus (or chorusing, choruser or chorused effect) is an audio effect that occurs when individual sounds with approximately the same time, and very similar pitches, converge. While similar sounds coming from multiple sources can occur naturally, as in the case of a choir or string orchestra, it can also be simulated using an electronic effects unit or signal processing device. When the effect is produced successfully, none of the constituent sounds are perceived as being out of tune. It is characteristic of sounds with a rich, shimmering quality that would be absent if the sound came from a single source. The shimmer occurs because of beating. Susanna Hoffs
Susanna Lee Hoffs (born January 17, 1959) is an American singer and guitarist, best known as a co-founder of the pop-rock band The Bangles. Hoffs founded The Bangles (originally called the Bangs) in 1981 with Debbi and Vicki Peterson. They released their first full length album '' All Over the Place'' on Columbia Records in 1984. Hoffs started a solo career after The Bangles disbanded in 1989. She released her first solo album, '' When You're a Boy'', in 1991.
