''It's My Life'' (also known as ''It's My Life – The Album'') is the debut album by German DJ/production team Sash!, released on 25 August 1997 via Multiply and Polygram labels. Three singles were released from the album: " Encore Une Fois", "Ecuador Ecuador ( ; ; Quechua: ''Ikwayur''; Shuar: ''Ecuador'' or ''Ekuatur''), officially the Republic of Ecuador ( es, República del Ecuador, which literally translates as "Republic of the Equator"; Quechua: ''Ikwadur Ripuwlika''; Shuar: ' ..." and "Stay". Sash! (; stylised as SASH!) is a German DJ/production team, fronted by Sascha Lappessen (born 10 June 1970) who works in the recording studio with Ralf Kappmeier, Karl Xander, and Thomas "Alisson" Lüdke. They have sold over 22 million albums worldwide and earned more than 65 Gold and Platinum awards. In the UK, their first four hit singles incorporated vocals in different languages ( French, Spanish, English and Italian). PolyGram N.V. was a multinational entertainment company and major music record label formerly based in the Netherlands. Sabine Ohmes
Sabine Ohmes (born August 12, 1974), better known by her stage name Encore!, is a German singer who performs mainly in French. Ohmes adopted her stage name after her debut as the vocalist on the Sash! track "Encore une fois", which reached No. 2 on the UK Singles Chart. Musical career She reached No. 12 as a soloist in the UK with her own track "Le Disc Jockey" and later released the single "Le Paradis". Both songs were written by Sash!'s producers, Ralf Kappmeier and Thomas Lüdke (known as the Tokapi production team). "Encore une fois" (; French for "One More Time") is a song by German DJ group Sash!, released in January 1997 as the second single from their debut album, ''It's My Life – The Album'' (1997). It features French vocals by German vocalist Sabine Ohmes and found huge success in clubs throughout the world. To date, it is one of Sash!'s biggest hits. She gained much popularity as the vocalist on Sash!'s number one ''Billboard'' Hot Dance Music/Club Play track from 1997, "Stay". La Trec is the former stage name she used at the time of her Sash! collaborations. McCoy was born in Germany, where her father, who was in the US Army, was stationed. Shortly after her birth, the young family moved back to San Francisco in the United States, where she grew up. After a couple of years, her mother started working for the United Nations, which often forced the family to move to different places. McCoy was already the singer of a dance-track called "Push Me to the Limit" by Celvin Rotane in 1995 and "Love Is My Whole World" by 4Tune in 1996. Multiply Records was a subsidiary of Telstar Records, that launched in 1993 and went into liquidation in 2004. Its major signings included Sash!, Phats & Small and the Cheeky Girls. It was the brainchild of Mike Hall, who already worked for the parent company Telstar.Early successes included signing Bassment Jaxx's "Flylife", TJR feat Xavier's "Just Gets Better", one of the garage scene's foremost hits, as well as Lil Mo Yin Yang's "Reach", and Junior Vasquez's "If Madonna Calls".
