It's Murder!
''It's Murder!'' is a 1977 feature-length movie shot on Super 8 mm film, Super 8 film directed by Sam Raimi while he was still in college. It was co-written and produced by Raimi and Scott Spiegel, and stars both Raimi and Spiegel. Raimi's first directorial work, it co-stars his frequent collaborator Bruce Campbell. Plot The film tells the story of a family whose uncle is murdered. The son (Sam Raimi) gets everything because he is in the will. A detective (Scott Spiegel) is trying to find out who murdered the uncle while avoiding ending up dead as well. Samuel M. Raimi ( ; born October 23, 1959) is an American filmmaker. Scott Spiegel
Scott Spiegel (born December 10, 1957) is an American screenwriter, film director, producer and actor. He co-wrote the screenplay for the movie ''Evil Dead II'' with longtime friend, film director Sam Raimi, with whom he attended Wylie E. Groves High School in Birmingham, Michigan. Spiegel played the role of Scotty in Raimi's ''Within the Woods'', which served as a precursor to ''The Evil Dead'', where Spiegel was replaced by Richard DeManincor (Hal Delrich). Early life Spiegel grew up in Birmingham, Michigan. He attended Walnut Lake Elementary school and then went on to attend West Maple Jr. High School. Super 8 Mm Film
Super 8 mm film is a motion-picture film format released in 1965 by Eastman Kodak as an improvement over the older "Double" or "Regular" 8 mm home movie format. The film is nominally 8 mm wide, the same as older formatted 8 mm film, but the dimensions of the rectangular perforations along one edge are smaller, which allows for a greater exposed area. The Super 8 standard also allocates the border opposite the perforations for an oxide stripe upon which sound can be magnetically recorded. Unlike Super 35 (which is generally compatible with standard 35 mm equipment), the film stock used for Super 8 is not compatible with standard 8 mm film cameras. Ivan Mitchell Raimi, D.O. (born June 21, 1956) is an American emergency medicine physician and screenwriter, and a brother of filmmaker Sam Raimi and actor Ted Raimi. Robert Gerard Tapert (born May 14, 1955) is an American film and television producer, writer and director, best known for co-creating the television series '' Xena: Warrior Princess''. He is also one of the founding partners of the film production companies Renaissance Pictures and Ghost House Pictures. Personal life Tapert has two sisters, Dorothy and Mary Beth Tapert. Tim Quill
Tim Quill (October 18, 1962 - September 25, 2017) Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Quill relocated to New York City in the 1980s to pursue acting, and was trained at the William Esper Acting Studio. Quill made his debut in the Vietnam War set ''Hamburger Hill'' playing the role of Pvt. Joe Beletsky, following it up with roles in the films '' Listen to Me'', ''Hiding Out'', ''Next of Kin,'' and ''Argo''. Joshua Matthew Becker (born August 17, 1958) is an American film and television writer and director and author whose credits include episodes of '' Xena: Warrior Princess'' as well as collaborations with Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi. Life and career Early life and education Josh Becker was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1958. He became fascinated with cinema after seeing '' How the West Was Won'' at age six.
