''It's Alright (I See Rainbows)'' is the sixth solo album by Yoko Ono, and her second release after the death of husband John Lennon. As a variation of a theme concerning its predecessor, the back cover features a transparent image of Lennon in a then-contemporary photo of Yoko and Sean, depicted in Central Park. This album, released in 1982, marked Ono's first foray into new wave sounds and 1980s pop production. All songs were written, composed, arranged, produced, and sung by Ono. It charted at #98 in the US. Background The album saw Yoko take her music in a more uplifting direction following 1981's ''Season of Glass''. Yoko reflected on the making of the album when writing liner notes for the 1992 boxset ''Onobox'': In 1997, the album was remastered by Ono and Rob Stevens for release on CD by Rykodisc. "You're the One" is a song by Yoko Ono, originally released in 1984 on Ono's and John Lennon's duet album '' Milk and Honey''. The song was also on the compilation albums ''Onobox'' and ''Walking on Thin Ice''. Composition The song's lyrics compare John Lennon and Yoko's Ono's relationship to be viewed by society as Laurel and Hardy, but viewed by the couple as Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw from ''Wuthering Heights''. Badal Roy ( bn, বাদল রায়; born Amarendra Roy Chowdhury; 16 October 1939 – 18 January 2022) was an Indian tabla player, percussionist, and recording artist known for his work in jazz, world music, and experimental music. Biography Roy was born Amarendra Roy Chowdhury on 16 October 1939, into a Hindu family in a predominantly Muslim eastern Bengal region in Comilla, British India (which later became East Pakistan, then Bangladesh). His mother, Sova Rani Roy Chowdhury, was a homemaker, while his father, Satyenda Nath Roy Chowdhury was a government official in Eastern Pakistan. John Tropea (pronounced 'tro-pay'; born January 7, 1946) is an American guitarist. Career Tropea began guitar studies at the age of 12. His musical education continued at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied jazz guitar, harmony, musical composition, and big band arranging. After arriving in Boston, Tropea began playing jazz and R&B with local bands, including The Three Degrees. He was influenced by Wes Montgomery, Johnny Smith, Luiz Bonfá, Pat Martino, and George Benson. Among his mentors were Hammond B3 organ players Jack McDuff and Jimmy Smith.
