Joe Nichols
Joseph Edward Nichols (born November 26, 1976) is an American country music artist. Between 1996 and 2001, he held recording contracts with the Intersound and Giant labels. In 2002, he signed with Universal South Records, now known as Show Dog-Universal Music. Nichols began his career with The Rodeo Band, playing in high school gymnasiums and small clubs. Jim Beavers is an American country music songwriter. Early life and education Jim Beavers grew up in Garland and Jacksonville, Texas. His educational background includes a BBA from Baylor University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. Career Beavers moved to Nashville, TN in 1991 to pursue a career on the business side of music. Deric J. Ruttan (born January 27, 1972) is a Canadian country music singer, songwriter and record producer from Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada. A Nashville, Tennessee resident, he has released four studio albums and has written or co-written more than 60 songs that have been recorded by other recording artists. Jon Wolfe is an American country music singer-songwriter. Career Jon Wolfe was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Miami, Oklahoma. He grew up singing in church and was first interested in classic pop music. His stepfather, a bass player in a house band with Joe Don Rooney, introduced him to country music. Ben Hayslip (born March 11, 1970 in Evans, Georgia) is an American country music songwriter. Early life Hayslip first attended Valdosta High School in Valdosta GA where he was a freshman quarterback for the 1984 State and National champion Valdosta Wildcats. In 1985 his family relocated to Evans, Georgia where Hayslip attended Evans High School near Augusta, Georgia. Hayslip became a four-year starter and an All-State first baseman helping to lead the Evans baseball team to a runner-up finish in the 1985 State Championship. "This Ole Boy" is a song written by Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip. Originally recorded by Joe Nichols for his 2011 album '' It's All Good'', it was also recorded by Craig Morgan. His version of the song was released in July 2011 as the first single and title track from his 2012 album of the same name. Content Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip, collectively known as The Peach Pickers, wrote the song. According to Hayslip, Davidson "had the groove going", and all three drew from personal experiences: "It’s just a fun song about growing up like we did. We got those butterflies from that girl … you drove her around … you did go to the river … you did start thinking about wanting to marry her."
