István Verpecz
István Verpecz (; born 4 February 1987 in Szikszó) is a Hungary, Hungarian football (soccer), football player who currently plays for Szombathelyi Haladás. He made one appearance in the Hungarian League Cup during the 2007–08 season. Club career Debrecen Verpecz won the Hungarian National Championship I 2009–10, 2009–10 season of the Hungarian League with Debrecen despite his team lost to Kecskeméti TE in the last round. In 2010 Debrecen beat Zalaegerszegi TE in the Magyar Kupa, Hungarian Cup final in the Puskás Ferenc Stadium by 3–2. On 1 May 2012 Verpecz won the Hungarian Cup with Debrecen by beating MTK Budapest on Penalty shoot-out (association football), penalty shoot-out in the 2011–12 Magyar Kupa, 2011–12 season. This was the fifth Hungarian Cup trophy for Debrecen. Szikszó
Szikszó is a small town in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Northern Hungary, from county capital Miskolc. History Szikszó was first mentioned in documents in 1280. It belonged to the estate of the Aba clan. After 1370 Aba Estates in the area became the property of King Sigismund and then of Queen Mary. At this time Szikszó was already a royal town. The Gothic church of the town was also built around this time. In the 16th century Szikszó and its landowners converted to the Protestant faith and its church became a Protestant one. During the Ottoman occupation of Hungary the town was ransacked and burnt down several times. The citizens fortified the strongest building of the town, the church. Several battles of the Ottoman–Habsburg wars were fought in and around the town. In 1588 there was a battle near the town, where the Hungarian army defeated the Turks. Pécsi MFC
Pécsi Mecsek Football Club, commonly referred to as Pécsi MFC or simply PMFC, is a professional Hungarian football club based in Pécs, Baranya, that currently competes in the Hungarian second division. The club was established on 16 February 1973 by the merger of five other clubs of the city, Pécsi Dózsa, Pécsi Ércbányász SC, Pécsi Helyiipari SK, Pécsi Bányász and Pécsi Építők. Pécsi MFC's home ground is the Stadium of PMFC, also known as Stadium of Újmecsekalja, a football stadium in Uránváros. The stadium's current capacity is 7,000, it was opened in 1955. The 2017–18 Nemzeti Bajnokság I (also known as 2017–18 OTP Bank Liga), also known as NB I, was the 119th season of top-tier football in Hungary. The league was officially named ''OTP Bank Liga'' for sponsorship reasons. Honvéd were the defending champions, having won their fourteenth Hungarian league title. As in the previous season, 12 teams competed for the championship title and played 33 matches. The fixtures were published on 14 July 2017. On 20 June 2017, the rounds were drawn by the Hungarian Football Federation. The 33 rounds was divided into two parts. 19 rounds were played in 2017 and the remaining 14 in 2018.
