Israeli Films Of The 1950s
Films produced in Israel and the British Mandate for Palestine before 1960: Overview Prior to the establishment of the state Film Industry in Palestine during the British Mandate of Palestine and afterwards during the first years of the state, didn't actually exist. Movies were filmed in Palestine since the time of the beginning of the silent film era during the 19th century, but an actual movie industry was not really conceived, both in the period of the Yishuv, and also during the first years of the state. The films which were produced were rare, and usually didn't match the quality of the films which were imported from abroad. Initially the industry, focused particularly on producing propaganda films and news broadcasts which were shown in the Israeli cinemas during that time before the movies were shown. The 1950s During the 1950s, some development was made. Israeli cinema studios were established such as Geva Films" (סרטי גבע) and the "Israel Film Studios" (אולפנ ...

Hebrew Melody
Hebrew (; ; ) is a Northwest Semitic language of the Afroasiatic language family. Historically, it is one of the spoken languages of the Israelites and their longest-surviving descendants, the Jews and Samaritans. It was largely preserved throughout history as the main liturgical language of Judaism (since the Second Temple period) and Samaritanism. Hebrew is the only Canaanite language still spoken today, and serves as the only truly successful example of a dead language that has been revived. It is also one of only two Northwest Semitic languages still in use, with the other being Aramaic. The earliest examples of written Paleo-Hebrew date back to the 10th century BCE. Nearly all of the Hebrew Bible is written in Biblical Hebrew, with much of its present form in the dialect that scholars believe flourished around the 6th century BCE, during the time of the Babylonian captivity. For this reason, Hebrew has been referred to by Jews as ''Lashon Hakodesh'' (, ) since ancient t ...

Avodah (film)
''Avoda'', or ''Avodah'' ( he, עֲבוֹדָה, ʿəḇoḏā, work, worship, and service) means serving God in Judaism and in Modern Hebrew can simply mean "work". Original meaning In its original, traditional sense, ''avodah'' was applied to sacrifices offered in the Temple in Jerusalem. The word was also used to describe the epitome of sacrificial rite, the complex and fraught main service of the High Priest of Israel on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement). Today it refers to a liturgical reenactment of the aforementioned ceremony which is recited during the Mussaf Amidah of Yom Kippur. In Hasidic philosophy, ''avodah'' generally refers to divine service (or worship). For example, it is part of the divine service to serve God with joy. Bnei Akiva: ''Torah ve'avoda'' ''Avodah'' is one of the two concepts that underlie the ideology An ideology is a set of beliefs or philosophies attributed to a person or group of persons, especially those held for reasons that are n ...

Yoman Eretz Yisrael
Yohimbine (), also known as quebrachine, is an indole alkaloid derived from the bark of the African tree '' Pausinystalia johimbe''; also from the bark of the unrelated South American tree ''Aspidosperma quebracho-blanco''. Yohimbine is an α2-adrenergic receptor antagonist, and has been used in a variety of research projects. It is a veterinary drug used to reverse sedation in dogs and deer.
