Israel Women's National Volleyball Team
The Israel women's national volleyball team participates in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. It is governed by the Israel Volleyball Association (IVA). As in any other sports, even though Israel is geographically located in Asia, it competes in European ( CEV) competitions. Its best result so far was a fourth place, in the 2010 European League, in Turkey. On September 11, 2010, after losing the first leg of the repechage against Belarus side by 3:2, and beating them by 3:1 at home, the team qualified for the 2011 European Championship after thirty nine years of absence on this competition. Logan Tom
Logan Maile Lei Tom (born May 25, 1981) was an American indoor volleyball, beach volleyball player, and is current head coach of the Israel women's national volleyball team. She is a four-time Olympian at the outside hitter position. At age 19, Logan became the youngest woman ever to be selected for an American Olympic volleyball team when she competed at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney. She is a skilled all-around player who brings stability to the American serve receive and defense, while also providing the team with a solid attack and block at the net. She had been a huge part of the national team from 2000 to 2012. At the 2008 Olympics, Tom helped Team USA win a silver medal and was named Best Scorer, she won another silver medal at the 2012 Olympics with the national team. Turkey Women's National Volleyball Team
The Turkey women's national volleyball team ( tr, Türkiye Kadın Voleybol Milli Takımı) is formed by the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) and represents Turkey in international CEV and FIVB organizations. The team is one of the most successful national sports teams in the country and is nicknamed "Filenin Sultanları" ( en, Sultans of the Net) since the 2003 Women's European Volleyball Championship hosted in Ankara, Turkey. Women's European Volleyball League
The Women's European Volleyball League is a continental volleyball competition for senior women's national volleyball teams of Europe, organized by the European Volleyball Confederation ( CEV). Created in 2009, the competition served as a qualifying tournament for the FIVB World Grand Prix (until 2016) and its successor the FIVB Challenger Cup since 2018. This event should not be confused with the other, more prestigious, continental competition for European national volleyball teams, the European Volleyball Championship. Ra'anana ( he, רַעֲנָנָּה, lit. "Fresh") is a city in the southern Sharon Plain of the Central District of Israel. The Great Britain women's national volleyball team is the team representing Great Britain in volleyball competitions. The Great Britain Volleyball programme team was resumed in 2006 following an agreement of the FIVB to permit the national teams of Scotland, Northern Ireland and England to compete together for the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2012 Summer Paralympics. Arie Selinger
Aryeh "Lonk" Selinger (born 5 April 1937) is an Israeli volleyball manager and former player. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest volleyball coaches of all time. Selinger has served as the head coach of the USA Women's Team in the years 1975–1984, a team that would go on to win the Bronze medal in the 1982 World Championship and the Silver Medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, USA.
